~*Chapter 18: Wake Me Up*~

(Vyper's POV)
“Yes, you eat living things constructed of meat such as animals, but you guys also eat humans. Vyper, that explains why you have always felt very incomplete after you eat, it also explains why you love meat so much. Especially raw.”
“What does that have to do with anything?” I frown.
“I remember when you three, Ceberus, were a child.”
Wait, what is he talking about now?
He continued, “You couldn’t control your hunger for a week. Yes, for a week you three devoured every piece of meat in sight without meaning to and you didn’t even know it was wrong.”
“Want to know where they found you?” Lucius queered.
“Um okay…”
“They found you in your Mother.”
“What?”
“Despite what you previously thought, your Mother did give birth to you.”
“So she is my Mom?”
“No. Now let me finish. When she gave birth to you, she died because you devoured her. You devoured every bit of her and you were still hungry. I immediately came in and picked you up, you wouldn’t eat me. Couldn’t. I am your master. That’s when I told your father everything and he agreed to take care of you despite what you did to his wife. He was a kind man.”
“What happened to him?”
“You had to stay locked in a dungeon for the sake of their safety. A week passed and your father stupidly opened the dungeon door without seeing if you were ready to be released or not. He assumed and you gorged yourself on him too.”
I sat on a chair, “So I ate my parents?”
“They aren’t your parents but yes.”
I felt myself whimper and a tear slipped and drizzled down my cheek. I killed them. I ate them and I didn’t even know.
“Why didn’t you just take me back?” I cried.
“Because I couldn’t. You still haven’t fully developed. In order to become what you truly are you must embrace your inner demon which you haven’t done. Trixie and Jester haven’t either to be honest. Once you embrace your inner demon you will become evil and cold. That’s why when your mate rejected you, you didn’t feel anything. Your Ceberus is too proud and cold to show vulnerability and break down at anything, even a rejection. She doesn’t care about anyone, she is selfish, she is evil, she is what you will become.”
“Will I stop caring for my mate and people I care for now?”
“No. You just won’t show your affection much.”
I cross my arms, “How do I embrace my inner demon?”
At this point, Lucifer smiled, “By killing 1000 men, either mortal or immortal.”
"I will never do that!"
He growls, "Don't count on it. You are the essence of evil, you'll give in soon enough. Perhaps you won't even realize."
I decided to ignore this statement and ask another question, "If you can't bring us to Hell, how are we here now?"
"You three aren't here physically, you're here mentally. RIght now you guys are asleep or in Vyper's case, a coma. You guys are like a touchable hologram."
