For his entire mortal life, jack langdon shirked at the thought of the violence his coven wanted him to commit and that angered them; so much so that they killed and damned him for it. their curse rotted his soul, tricking the devil into accepting him into hell. his hatred of violence made the angel angry and so he was punished time and time again until he grew numb to it. pain and killing others became peaceful to him— added to the list of vices that help him silence the voice of his torturer.
