Chpt. 1; Pack Your Bags

"Mills? When are we leaving?" Sadie asks while taking a potato chip, out of the bag.

Millie, Sadie, and I were having a sleepover before the road trip. The boys were doing something at the warehouse. We don't know what it is or want to know what it is.

Sadie took another potato chip.

"We'll be leaving tomorrow morning, silly!" Millie says and giggles.

"I know that! I mean, what time?" She says.

"Well, the boys are coming at 10. They're not morning people. We'll probably leave at 11." Millie says, looking down to her phone.

"Cool," Sadie says.

"Mills! Whatcha doin' on the phone?" I say.

"Nothing!" Millie says quickly.

I give a glance to Sadie and she returns it.

"What are you doing Millie?" I say like I know something

"Nothing! She says and holds her phone to her chest.

Sadie leaps towards Millie and grabs her phone. Sadie makes a face.

"What happened?" I ask.

"She's texting someone!" Sadie says, mischievously.

"Who?!" I ask.

"Ooh! It's Noah!" Sadie exclaims.

"Stop it!" Millie says, reaching for her phone.

"Millie! I'm ashamed! We're your best friends! You're supposed to tell us about everyone you text!" I say with fake sadness.

"Okay, Krystelle. That's enough. I was only talking about the plans for tomorrow." Millie says, with her hands shaky.

She's lying.

"Actually, these texts say otherwise!" Sadie exclaims.

Sadie hands me the phone and I look at her previous texts with Noah.

Noah: hi mills

Millie: hey noah

Noah: when should we come over tomorrow?

Millie: 10?

Noah: sure

Millie: yay!

Noah: lol

Millie: that was excitement, not sarcasm

Noah: lol

Millie: STOP!

Noah: never!

Millie: why?

Noah: lol

Millie: plz

Noah: no!

Millie: why not?

Noah: cuz im awesome

Millie: no ur not, don't lie

Noah: ouch

Millie: ;)

Noah: WAAAAAAAAAA

Millie: aww, r u crying?

Noah: yea

Millie: aww u poor thing *sarcasm*

Noah: hmph

Millie: HAHA!

Noah: im still crying gaten and caleb r making fun of me waaaaaa

Millie: lol sadie and krysti r eating chips like pigs

Noah: lol

Millie: r u still crying?

Noah: not anymore

Millie: <3

Noah: <3

"Millie has a boyfriend! Millie has a boyfriend!" I chant, like a second grader.

"So do you." She says and crosses her arms.

"So you're not denying it?" Sadie says and raises her eyebrows.

"NO! I'm not admitting it!" She says.

"Yep, they're definitely dating," I say to Sadie.

My phone beeps and I look down, to a text from Gaten.

Gaten: hey this is finn from gaten's phone noah caleb and gaten took my phone and i took his

Krystelle: oh really?

Gaten: yep

Krystelle: ok then

Gaten: .....

Krystelle: sadie is shoving potato chips in her mouth and it's really funny

Gaten: send a vid

Krystelle: one video attached

Gaten: i didnt kno sades could shove so many chips in her mouth at once

Krystelle: i didnt either

Krystelle: heeeeeyyyyyyyy

Krystelle: srry that was millie she stole my phone

Gaten: ok then

Krystelle: srry gotta go we're having potato chip eating wars

Gaten: like a competition?

Krystelle: yea but war sounds cooler than competition

Gaten: lol cya tmrw

Krystelle: cya tell the boys we say hi!

Gaten: they say "hey" "yo" and "wassup krys"

Krystelle: millie says "gateno bean! finnie boi! schnapple! caleb u don't have a nickname" and sadie says "hiiiiiii!" which is muffled by the potato chips in her mouth

Gaten: oh my

I turn off my phone and lay it on the floor.

"POTATO CHIP WAR!" Sadie yells and throws a potato chip at Millie.

"Oh, you're on!"
