Chapter 16 Confusion and maybe a little Relief and Happiness

Skylar's POV:

So here I was again. Sitting in front if the same blond hair, boyish face with muscles dude, named Gabriel, waiting for that idiot to come in and talk to me and tell me what the hell is this about.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm laughing at Gabriel's jokes but on the inside, once that brown hair idiot comes through the door I'm going to hit him or something.

The door burst open and there he was in all his god damn glory, the pain in the ass of my existence, but also the one I still love and will always no matter what, Raymond Nathaniel Andrews.

"You may leave now, G-dog," he said and then as Gabriel left said "and you, both you and I need to have a talk alone."

"As long as it gets me out of here so I can go home to my family, then do some school work, and then forget about you."

"Ouch. But didn't a few days ago you wanted me to hook up with you? Wow. Mood swings. Are you on your period? Ah never mind let's get to business, yes?" I nodded with squinted eyes at him.

"Your two brothers and I guess their little bitch came-" I stood up and slapped him. "You do not call my sister in law that! You hear me?!" I yelled at him in his face. "Sure sweet pea, even though she bashed my security and your brother Jason." He replied coldly in my face but I didn't back down "don't call me that. Get straight to the damn point because if I'm just here so you can diss my family that I just got back, then I'll just leave and save you the trouble." His eyes saddened but then hardened.

"I will but sit that pretty little ass back down first please." I rolled my eyes and sat down. "As I was saying your brothers and sister in law came to my office today, talking about you," he got real serious so I knew this was about his letter and everything. "Jason told me how you weren't doing so good. Nightmares and screaming." He shuddered at the thought and his eyes were softer and a few shades lighter of blue, almost ice blue.

But there was no pity or sympathy, but there was understanding and concern. He got up from his seat and knelt beside me and took my hand and looked straight into my eyes and as did I.

"After what he told me, I realized I completely abandoned you by leaving you alone. And I'm really sorry for that, and I'm sorry for being like this; a jerk to you but that was only to keep you away, but the reason for keeping you away is not just because of this business, it's because I have these demons that I'm fighting off, much like yours. I can't sleep still, sometimes I do have flashback dreams of them. And some, of you and what they did to you and what they did to me by taking you away from me when me and you were... You know." He blushed a little and I smiled and blushed too.

"But now, I want to be in your life." He smiled and I smiled back, tears in my eyes at his previous words on his demons.

"Question is, do you still want me in your life?" He asked me. I smiled. He's being a gentlemen, like he was before all of this.

"You know, I had the same dreams? And then that night, the night you sent that letter, I had thought about you so much and then it went back to the day they got what they wanted, you to scream in pain and make me suffer and I just couldn't handle that and was yelling at myself to stop thinking but Jason had to come in. And I really knew then that you had to be in my life, because your the only one who knows what happened at that awful place, I couldn't tell anyone, not even my brothers who are really close to me, and I felt so bad so I know I need you in my life, so yes, I still want you in my life."

He grinned and then stood me up and hugged me and said "I'm so sorry Skylar, for everything I've done to hurt you." I winced and said "a lot of it wasn't intentional so I forgive you for everything." I squeezed him tighter. Then he asked me something I didn't expect
