Rain

I remember the rain
how we would find a way to dance

even though we would slip and fall to the ground that has cracked under

the pressure of so many fallen dreams and lost thoughts

However, we would always fall together

Without you, every raindrop feels like the weight of a thousand thoughts, which destabilizes me, causing me to fall into a puddle of faded memories

As I sit under the darkened sky, I wonder if the rain could reach out to me, embrace me

It can't, nothing can. I've fallen too deep into the puddle, for anyone to pull me back out

I still remember, I always will

I remember your face, the way you'd smile, I remember how we would dance in the rain, and even though I knew I would fall, I felt that I could fly, as long as our hands never parted

I remember the rain, don't you?
