Chapter 4

You don't really know how long you've been in the infirmary. Maybe a few days at most. It's not like you didn't like it here. You surprisingly had plenty of company. Genj, Hanzo, and your care taker is just enough for you. You learned a bit about them and that they aren't as bad as your family shapes them up to be. Speaking of that, They told you they struggled to get in contact with your family still. You weren't surprised every time they told you. But then they do come. Then that's a surprise. You were having a small chat with you care taker. Laughing, small talking. Although, interrupted by someone entering and by someone it was Hanzo. "Oh hey, Maya? Can I talk to you a bit?" You looked back and forward from your friend and to Hanzo. Seeing them nod and get up to go to Hanzo. Your expression got rather curious on what they were to discuss. They kept a distance so you wouldn't hear, you assumed and try to read their lips much you could. Although in the end you still got nothing. So you sighed to yourself, looking down to your arms. You just took this as a moment to daze off until you see Maya come back but with Hanzo along too. "Is everything alright?" A concerned tone could be heard from your voice. "Oh nothing to concerning just-" before she could finished, hanzo stepped in "you haven't left the bed so you are getting weak and lack combat to protect yourself so my brother and I are to bring you in our training sessions" a sigh can be heard form your caretaker and Hanzo added a quick apology to her on the interruption. "And when to you wish for me to go?" Hanzo went up to you, gently grabbing your wrist. "Now" your eyes widen in your response as you were slightly forced up to your feet. Being forced up it caused your legs to shake a bit. When has it been the last time you stood up from this bed?? Barely much at all at the thought of it "You can barely stand on your feet right. You really need this" he had the feeling you'd walk slow. So he need to use his patience on you. With that began to drag you off but enough for you to be able to move and keep up with which was rather slow if you thought about it. He dragged you to an area you were of course unfamiliar with since you've never left that infirmary. Although you did see something familiar in the area. Genji. He was training at the looks of it. Holding on to a few Shurikens tossing them to a dummy from a distance and surprisingly he barely missed a shot. Though noticing our presence he stopped, looking our direction with a wave. "Yo", he greeted. "Looks like you finally got out of that room" he teased with a smirk causing you to pout. He couldn't help but to laugh a bit. Hanzo released you walking by his brother's side. "She's here to train with us" it was difficult to tell if this surprised Genji or not. Although in the end he just shrugged it off. "Sounds good to be. What is she going to learn? She doesn't look capable to do much" he admitted to his older brother. "Exercise" he started to explain. "She needs her basic straight back and once it is we will go to hand to hand combat. She has the energy just not the muscle." Hearing him explain all this to his brother. It got you thinking. How long would it take til you can actually fight. You are happily to accept this even if you did not have much of a choice to begin with. You'd like to avoid an event like that in the pass happen again much as possible. "How long would this take before I can fight?"
"Depends how hard you work. If we do it practically daily and by the looks of you then... maybe a week or two but that is no promise" he answered and that answer was better than nothing. "What if my family comes for me?" Of course you had to ask for that but it just made Hanzo sigh. When does he not sigh? "They baring coming for a long while from what I heard. Some reason it's a struggle but we will get them don't worry" a suddenly clap sound filled the room. Causing your glance and hanzo's to fall to Genji's. "lets start training shall we? I'll deal with [ y/ n ]. I've had enough training for the day unlike you so I'll deal with her" he gave a smile to his brother. Hanzo looked hesitant at first for a long time but allowed Genji to do so in the end. After about a minute of him of thinking he grabbed Genji, excusing them both to you and dragged him off a distance like he was with maya. "Alright.", he whisper to his brother. "I give you permission but do not treat her like every other girl your with alright? Don't act like you don't know what I'm taking about. She is here to train. Not to be one of them" he demanded and by that meant 'Genji don't flirty with her while she trains, I swear to god'. Genji was going to take it as a joke but saw how dead serious his brother's face was and it kept him from doing anything stupid like a laugh. He just nodded instead. "Alright, Alright. No flirting just training. I got you" he waved a hand getting out of his brother's grip walking over to you. It left hanzo concern but he's going to trust his brother on this.
"Alright. I'm going to be your mentor for the day on this." He grinned.  "We are likely gonna have to be out for this because we will be working on those legs of yours first." He extended a hand towards you and you slowly took it. He led you out quickly but enough of a pace you could follow. Making it out he clapped his hands together. You had a feeling this would end up a long day and you weren't wrong. You did stretches and small jogs to help adjust your legs. You would be lying if you say say it didn't help. "For the small time we've been going on. You are improving rather quickly" the tone of his voice sounded rather impressed. You gave him an expression as if you think he was joking. "You're saying 3 hours is a short amount of time" you panted from all the work. Taking a big deep breath to regain the energy you've lost. You could feel your heart beat in your head and didn't know whether to be concerned or not. Genji just laughed a bit with a shrug. "Has it really been 3 hours? I thought it's only been one." You shot him a small death glare at that. "What's the difference? It's still pretty long! Can we just call it a day or something" Genji looked as if he took a second to thing and shrugged again. His shrugs aren't helping you figure out an answer. "Is that a yes or a no?" The confusion showed on your face. "It's a yes. I don't really want to end up accidentally killing you by how tired you are. Hanzo would kill me as well" his smile was more awkward. The expression of yours now hearing that. You felt so relieved. You deed that. Really.
Just soon after Hanzo interrupted you both soon after calling it a day. You let out just one more sigh in such relief about to walk to the room you've stayed since you got here although you were stopped. Honestly you should of seen this coming anyway. "You'll be staying else where. You don't really have much of a need to keep staying in the infirmary other than for check up." He started looking at Genji "my brother will take you there because I have business to attend to." Hanzo was about to go but remembered something. He walked to Genji pulling him away for a bit. "I got to things for you. Please tell me you know what room I'm talking about and two... father got in contact with her clan finally. Even if I did say it would take long they answered sooner than I thought" Genji listened not telling if he should be surprised or not. "And how long do we have till she goes?" Hanzo shrugged, thinking a bit. "Probably no more that a few days" Genji nod walking off as if it was him saying 'say no more' going over to you with a friendly smile. He gestured his head a bit to say it's time to go. Both of you leaving to let Hanzo do his business.   You couldn't say you couldn't walk better than before. You guessed your legs just needed a warm up. Although you can not deny the fact your legs feel sore already, causing you to limp a bit. Genji had noticed and offered to carry you a few times but you refused each one determined to be able to make it over there on your own.  So after a few fail attempts when he asked he just let you be. Stopping at a room, opening it. He moved aside to let you go first. "Ladies first" you smiled at him, entering. Observing the room and you loved it. It was rather big for one and looked beautiful. "It's lovely!" You're smiled grew a bit more as Genji did a small chuckle. "Glad you liked it." He then Pointed over to the closet "Maya got you some more clothes that seem to suit yourself. Lets just hope you like them like she said you would." Him saying that. You could help but to check, heading to the closet you opened up, eyes widen slightly seeing all the clothes. Sometimes you forget how much more rich this clan is compared to yours. You had to admit though. The clothes your friend chose. You liked them a lot. "Give her my thanks then. I'm very surprised she chose such lovely clothes" he nods at that arms crossed. His shoulder leaning on the door frame. "Hey [ y/ n ], I've been wondering... what do you think of arcades" you closed the closet facing him. You were confused by why he'd suddenly ask that. "I do actually. I do not go often since my family do not allow me to 'slack off' but I adore them. Why do you ask" Genji just shrugged, looking aside to break his glance towards you. I was just wondering because you always been here since we saved you and have never been out since except for training now although that still is not far off this place. So I was just wondering when your legs feel a bit less sore than they do now. Would you like to come to the arcade with me?" He looked back at you with a childish smile. "You said adore them so you know it would be fun! I promise you, you'll have a blast!" You couldn't say now. The smile gave it away and how he looked at you when he said that. How could you refuse such fun offer? You nods to answer even if the grin gave it up. Genji seemed really excited with that. "Really?! Sweet! If you get any better you should come get me! I'll always be ready!"
"Then I'll keep that in mind" you responded watching him go. You were rather excited to have a room like this on your own for now. At this point you'd love to explore it. Maybe with that you could join Genji. Sore or not because it'll just be worth it in the end.
