The next morning I woke up to a honking outside my house.

I sat up and wiped my eyes, trying to make sense of everything.

I got out of bed, scurried over to the window to see Alex in his car.

I looked at the clock and saw it was already almost 8:30.

"Shit!" I said under my breath.

I quickly got into my black Sleeping with Sirens shirt, pulled on my black skinny jeans, brushed my light brown hair into a ponytail and put on my black hoodie.

Before I grabbed my bag from beside my bed, I put on a small amount of mascara.

I ran through the house and downstairs to see my dad sleeping on the couch.

Last night when I got home, My dad had come to visit me and my mom.

When I got in the door my dad shot me a sharp look. "Where the hell were you young lady?"

I blinked in response. My dad usually wasn't this authoritive.

"I was out with a friend. Mom said I could." I admit that ratting out my mother wasn't a smart idea.

"Angela, You let her stay out this late?!" He snapped back at my mom. "Its almost one in the fucking morning!"

"I gave her permission to be home by twelve. Nova go to your room."

"She's only fifteen years old! She shouldn't be staying out till twelve with people we don't even know!" I wasn't gonna tell my dad that it was a guy. But especially not the fact that Alex was eighteen. That would send my dad off the deep end.

I had quickly made my way upstairs and immediatly fell asleep.

When I got into Alex's car, he looked at me and smiled. "Good morning sleepy head."

I flipped him my finger of choice and put on my seatbelt, only making him laugh.

"Damn, aren't we nice in the morning." He said as he pulled away from the curb and down the street.

"Shut it Alex." I said putting in my earbuds. I was never a morning person, Especially when I got up late and I had to hurry myself out the door.

"Okay then." He said while smiling.

The ride was mainly silence until when we got to a traffic light and Alex started to talk. I had my earbuds in, so it just sounded like a garbled mess.

Then I felt an earbud leave my left ear. "Are you listening?"

I looked at him in surprise. I glanced at the earbud and then back at his face. Earbud, face, earbud, face.

No one ever pulled my earbuds out but me. This boy was going to feel my wrath.

"What the fuck did you just do?" I asked in a low, serious tone.

"What are you talking about Nova?" He laughed.

I rolled my eyes and took out my other earbud. "Don't take out my earbud." I said in a stern voice.

He laughed again. "Bossy, aren't we?"

When we pulled into the school I grabbed my bag and got out of the car. It was so far down to the ground that I practically had to push myself up out of my seat. I started walking around the car, waiting for Alex.

We walked together into the school, and heads turned. People at my school are so damn nosy.

I walked over to my locker, a hundred eyes still glued to me.
