April (Korean: 에이프릴) is a six member girl group under DSP Media. The former members lineup consist of Chaewon, Hyunjoo, Naeun, Yena and Jinsol. They officially debuted with the release of their first ever mini album Dreaming on August 25th 2015, and made their debut stage on SBS MTV's The Show with the title track Dream Candy on the same day! After their debut, former leader Somin express to leave the group , finding the group's maturity and image does not suit her and her age and finding herself being too old for the group, she decided to leave . At that point of time, April continued to promote as 5.
During tinker bell promotion , Hyun Joo have been absent for awhile as she was quite sick and took a break to recover. During the time, she thinks hard and decided to also leave the group , to focus on her acting career instead.
Not Long after, Dsp media have revealed to be adding members into the group once again and the first member to be revealed is Chae kyung who was seen as a participant from produce 101 season 1 and not Long after, they added Rachel , who have been practicing ballet for 10 years to once again complete the original six members line up.
In2018, DSP MEDIA announce April special unit of NAEUN & JINSOL , and they will be debuting on February 7
