"what do you mean, 'nice shot'? we aren't even doing poses yet." i said to the waiter.

"no, it's ok. i just find it cute when you're arguing with each other. you don't have to pose anymore, this shot is enough. thanks!" the waiter told us.

"aish. why did you even agreed to do it?" hanni complained again.

"han, it's been done. stop complaining, k?"

"k."

"let's just eat our ice cream, shall we?" i said and she nodded.

after about 15 minutes staying on the ice cream shop, we finally finished our ice cream and went outside.

timecheck— it's 12:59pm and we haven't eaten lunch yet, just ice cream.

"what are we gonna do now, han?" i asked her.

"the weather's nice, so let's just go for a walk here in the park." hanni said.

"okay." i said, so we walked around the park.

we walked around the park and talked about alot of things—
like how cute are the kids are that's playing in the playground and our childhood stories,

"i remember the time when i used to play at our garden and the water sprinkler that was there— i turned it on so and that made me all wet." i said.

"then what happened? pfft."

"i went inside the house all wet and my parents were so so mad at me because i made the floor wet and all that." i told her and she just laughed.

"ohgod my parents would actually kill me if i did that." she said and we just laughed together.

— we also talked about walks and some stuff.

"i never had this 'walk at the park' in a long time." i told her.

"really? then we're not the same. i always take a stroll at the park here thrice a week or whenever i feel like it. i always take a walk here at night sometimes."

"oh yeah, late night walks. they're the best."

"i know right? when it's just quiet and peaceful— and sometimes you look above to stare at the stars."

"so . . . perfect. let's take a walk together at night sometimes."

"sure, why not."

"let's sit there, on the grass." hanni excitingly said as she ran and sat on the grass.

it's already 2:10 pm and honestly— i'm so tired of walking for like an hour.

"look at those happy couples over there." hanni said as she looked at the couples sitting on the benches.

i admire how observant hanni is. she never runs out of 'look at the cute kids over there!' 'ow, look at that person over there. she's all by herself— she looks so sad.' 'look at that family over there, they're so happy.'

that's why we never ran out of topics throughout the walk.

"they're so happy— like they don't have problems." she said.

one thing i also like about hanni is that she may be a cheerful and a joker kind of person sometimes, but she can also be really really deep.

"i hope i can be them— you know, no problems and no worries at all, you're just free. say, ren. have you ever had a girlfriend?"

"h-huh? uh, nope. i'm single since birth. you?"

"nope, never had one. i'm single since birth too."

"really? you're famous, many boys like you and court you— and you never had a boyfriend before?"

"yup, well . . . i never liked every single one of them."

"why's that?"

"even once— i never felt the tingly feeling when i'm with each and one of them."

"tingly feeling what?"

"you know . . . the feeling of your heart shouting 'you're destined to be with that boy! you're meant for that boy!'"

"in other terms . . . the feeling of love?"

"yup."

"wow, i never thought you believed in destiny and things like that."

"i always believed in that . . . oh, how i wish i'd find my destiny soon."

i just stared at her like how she's staring at the couples.

"you know what, han? i already found my destiny."

"oh, really? then . . . i'm happy for you. who's the girl?" she looked at me.

"you."

so here in the philippines ( where i live ) our president duterte declared martial law on the southern part of our country which is called 'mindanao', as a certain place there is terrorized by, uh, terrorists. jails were crashed and inmates were released; they took over a hospital and a university there; they were bombings everywhere; they kidnapped people to make them their hostages; SO many people are killed; and there's this one that has been circulating on the net that these terrorists cut a soldier's head from his body. residents on that certain place in mindanao evacuated because they were scared— as of now, 80-90% of the residents there are evacuated.

terrorists are everywhere— stay safe, guys.
