The day Daphne's eldest sister, Diana, announced her engagement the whole Blake family celebrated. Well, all but Daphne, who mumbled something about her life being ruined as she trudged toward her room. Daphne was the youngest child out of five and this, her sister's engagement, marked the domino effect. Translation if one thing happened to a Blake sister it would most likely happen to the others. And fast. Once Diana was wed, Daisy got married, Dawn tied the knot, Dorthy engaged, and Daphne is moving.

The red-headed girl didn't understand. She knew she was only sixteen and too young to marry, but Fred loved her. Well, at least she thought he did. All Daphne wanted was a boyfriend, and the boy of interest seemed to be oblivious to her affections. How many times must she willingly get kidnapped for him to realize she is in love with him? Well, one time should've been the last time. But she had been solving mysteries with him since she was a toddler. It was hard to say no to the blonde dream that had an unusual obsession for traps.

The nerves were eating her alive. The mystery incorporated gang had just unmasked another criminal, and they were currently being honored in front of the whole town. Fred's dad, the mayor, gave a lengthy speech full of bad jokes and pride for the teens and their weird dog.

"Thank you, Mystery Incorporated!" Fred's dad ended his speech by giving the gang a moniker. A moniker that the crowd took to brilliantly. Claps and cheers filled the teenagers' ears.

The photographer motioned the gang over to pose for a picture with the sheriff. Daphne took this as her cue to tell her friends the news that had been making her nervous since the mayor's speech.

"Velma, Shaggy, Fred," she smiled a sad smile. "and of course Scooby, I'm moving."

Fred grabbed ahold of his orange ascot and untied it with haste and dabbed at his forehead. Velma dropped her glasses and immediately fell to her knees to retrieve the things. Scooby slammed his paw into the ground managing to crush Velma's glasses. Shaggy stood there flabbergasted, mumbling something about needing a sandwich.

That was the day Daphne's three friend's along with Scooby, realized the girl's essential role in solving the gang's mysteries. But they realized it too late. Daphne was tired of Fred's obliviousness, Velma's smart mouth, Shaggy's constant hunger, and Scoobert Doobert's obedience coming from the box of snacks she kept in her purse.

Daphne had only suggested it to her parents because she believed they would never go for it. But boy was she wrong. She was the only Blake daughter still in the nest, and they didn't want her hanging around Coolsville, a town known for paranormal activity, any longer.

The three remaining members of the Blake family packed up their things and moved to the town with pep, also known as Riverdale.
