I awoke to the feeling of something of someone stroking my arm and my neck. I try not to squirm, because if I squirm I know that I will have to get up. "Sophie," I hear a soft feminine voice sing song my name. "Sophie. wakey, wakey, sleeping beauty." The voice tries again and I move away from the voice. "Sophie Bennett get your tiny butt up! It is Gretchen's and Richard's wedding day, and you need to get up and help!"

The reminder that it is my cousins wedding day made me gasp and sit up really fast. As I sat up I found Taylor sitting on my bed looking pleased, "good you finally decided to get up! Now go downstairs and eat, then we are going to go to the reception hall to make sure everything is right, after that we are coming back here and we are going to get everyone ready, then we are going to go to the church and do some last minute things, then we are going to walk down the aisle."

I groan, there is so much to do! I get up and throw on comfortable clothing, which means sweat pants, a oversized shirt, and flip flops. I walk downstairs to find donuts on the table. I rush over and start to stuff my face, everyone stares at me, "What?" I ask as I grab my second donut.

"How are you eating those, and so quickly? Don't you worry about your weight?" One of the bridesmaids that I don't remember the name of asks.

"Well I didn't eat dinner last night and I run. Like a lot. What I eat I just run it off. I am the exact same weight as I was when I was in 7th grade, when I first started cross country." I say in a matter of fact tone and smirked at the bridesmaid looking sheepishly away.

"Where are the boys?" I ask looking around the room while shoving another donut in my mouth.

"They are at Richard's house doing whatever boys do," my mom says looking up from a fashion magazine that she was staring at so intensely.

"Uncle Frank and Simon included," Gretchen said standing up and walked over to me and gave me a hug.

I hug her back, "So how are your parents doing? Specifically Uncle Harley."

"Dad is upset but tries not to show it. He is trying to be a man and not show his true feelings but I think that we all know he will be shedding some tears tonight," Gretchen says.

"Some! Gretchen Bennett, Uncle Harley will be shedding more than just some tears! He will be shedding a whole bucket full of his tears." I say and we all laugh.

That's when my Gretchen's mother, my Aunt Natasha came into the room, "Your cousin is right butercup, your daddy will cry buckets. Speaking of dad's your Uncle Frank is on the phone and want to talk to you, Hannah, and Sophie." She hands the phone to Gretchen who takes it and goes into the other room to talk.

I walk over to Aunt Natasha, "hey how are you doing?" I ask her while giving her a tight squeeze.

"I am fine," she says and I give her a look telling her that I need more information than that. She laughs, "I feel a mix of emotions, mostly joy and sadness. I am so happy that she is happy and Richard is a great man but also this is an end of an era. I am going to miss her, I am a little reluctant to send my little baby girl away with another man. Soon she will be starting her own family. It's hard to realize that she isn't a baby anymore, she is a strong grown up woman and I am so proud of her. That realization just kind of hit me. There was one week when all I did was cry." She was crying a little now, "goodness, I promised myself that I was not going to cry." I smile sympathetically and give her a tight squeeze.

Gretchen comes back handing me the phone and I walk out of the room, "hello?"

"Good morning sunshine," I hear my dad say.

"Good morning poppers!"

"Sweetie I am curious, what happened last night? I asked Simon and all he knew is what you were angry about and he feels really bad about it and had no idea that he was making you feel that way. He wouldn't tell me what you were mad about though and Hannah told me that you pushed her over. This is all I know, please Sophie let me know what exactly happened," my father said in a low, soft, begging tone.
