"The Sea and The Sky"

Like a rolling sea, on treacherous waves,

the boat shakes, rocking back and forth,

it bobs and sways.

An unsteady current rips it in half,

as a sailor lost at sea,

I wish they'd come back to see me.

Yet finding their way isn't easy, astray.

When the moon met the sun,

as they say,

all was right in the sky.

Until a separation by nature took it's toll

and the sun was hotter than hades,

and the moon was colder than death itself.

The cracks in your smile,

let in the root to the flowers that bloom,

after a long cold winter,

of warm heartfelt sorrows,

goodbyes and goodnights,

the coldness and dark did grow.

The flowers bloom,

reminding me of the light,

the bright,

bring me back my sun.

And I'll give you all of the moon-light darkness you need.

I'll be the light of the dark summer nights,

you see.

So follow the stars glow,

dear sailor,

let your heart heal,

slow,

then come back to the shore line,

where I'll be.

It's just you and me.
