Evan's POV

"Honestly, you should stop being an idiot already. It's getting annoying." -Tyler commented, looking at Marcel with an irritated expression.

"Fuck you! It's not my fault the dog hates people!" Marcel retorted.

"He doesn't hate people, only you!"

This made both Craig and I laugh. I had been letting a few chuckles slip during their argument while Craig was trying to stifle all laughter.

But by now, they had been yelling at each other for about ten minutes, and we had no control over our laughter.

All the while Gizmo was circling around them, excited for some reason.

Tyler and Marcel kept yelling at each other while Craig and I headed towards the lake to have some peace and quiet.

We sat down in front of it and just casually talked. At one point, our conversation turned quiet for a few moments, before Craig spoke up.

"Hey, I'm gonna head back and see if Tyler and Marcel didn't murder each other." -Craig said, letting out a chuckle, making me chuckle as well.

"Go ahead. I'll stay here." -I said as he stood up.

"That's a smart choice, to be honest." -Craig jokingly murmured, and started walking away.

He let out a yawn, stretching his arms above his head.

"What's up?"

I jumped at the sudden voice which appeared directly next to my ear.

Startled, I punched the person behind me instinctively, turned around and took a step back swiftly.

As Tyler groaned from the punch he received to the face, I looked at him confusedly for a moment, before bursting into laughter.

He huffed and went over to the lake. He crouched down next to the water and before I could react, he picked up some water with his hands and splashed it at me.

I tried to dodge it, but it still hit me.

"Hey!" -I said, trying to act mad.

I failed miserably as I couldn't stifle the childish laughter escaping my lips.

"How did you get over here without me hearing you?" -I asked curiously.

"You're either deaf, or I'm a ninja." -Tyler said jokingly.

"Neither of those could be possible Tyler. As you can realize, I can hear just fine. And if you were really a ninja, you would've predicted that hit and easily countered it." -I shot back, smirking.

"Nah, I guess I just chose the wrong target." -Tyler replied, plastering a grin onto his face.

"What are you doing here anyway? Weren't you and Marcel just fighting about ten minutes ago?" -I asked, to which Tyler shrugged.

"Nah, that was just some friendly disagreement we had." -Tyler said, and I snorted.

"Oookaaay."

I hopped back down onto my previous spot where I was sitting, and soon Tyler sat down next to me.

Just as he sat down, he scooted closer to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"Evaaaan."

"Whaaaat?" -I asked, imitating his previous tone.
