Pure as a newborn's heart,
White as freshly fallen snow,
Lilies, lovely lilies.
They are for comfort, they are for love,
They are a symbol of kindness, a notion of truth,
Lilies, loyal lilies.
Pair them up with a flower or two,
Whether carnations or roses,
Lilies, royal lilies.
Give them to the bride-to-be,
Or place them on silent stones,
Lilies, solemn lilies.
Do not dislike them for being non-verbal,
Even in silence they speak a thousand words,
Lilies, noble lilies.
