Chapter Three - Don't go jumping to conclusions.

"What's wrong Holly? You haven't zoned out like that since.." Mikey trailed off, knowing it was a touchy subject. He closed the door behind them, and leant against it. Holly shrugged in reply and dug around in her pockets for the packet of cigarettes. She slipped one out of the packet, and retrieved her lighter from the back pocket of her jeans where it always resided, and left a permanent outline on the dark denim. She lit the cigarette between her lips, and retracted it, forcing the excess smoke out one side of her mouth. "I told you. I'm just worried."

"Don't start this again, please." Mikey pleaded with her, "What's better, bottling it all up again, or just telling me? Maybe I can do something to help you."

"Fine! I'm scared of losing you. I'm scared, okay! That's what I am, and all I ever was."She admitted, running her free hand through her matted hair, then taking another drag on the stick.

He didn't say anything to her, he simply took a step forward, and wrapped his arms around her. They both knew the bitter reality that one day, Better Living Industries would catch up with them. They both knew that they couldn't keep running forever despite their optimism. She stubbed out her cigarette on a stray piece of furniture. He cupped her face in his hands gently, and smiled. She stood on the balls of her feet to try and make herself taller, making him laugh softy. Her and Frank both shared the short gene. Neither of them moved really, before they could come to their senses their hands where running through each others hair, their mouths locked. Both their hands roamed the other's body, stripping of clothing unconsciously. Pulling each other this way and that, until they ended up in a giggling heap on the bed in the corner of the room. Both of them like teenagers, when they first met. Both of them half clothed, now wearing only their jeans, and underwear. Holly broke away, laughing; stumbling about the room tugging her jeans off, and in the process stumbling to the door. Mikey got the hint, and started pulling his jeans off too. Holly meanwhile, had managed to discard her jeans and stuck her head out of the door.

"Guys. You might want to perform a disapearing act for a while." She laughed, before closing the door behind her. Mikey shook his head at her, and started laughing.
