To Dionysos the Saviour

Lord Dionysos, who stirs my soul with longing for Thee
Enticing me to the dance of ecstasy
I pour sweet wine to Thee Oh Lord of Joy
And shout with the Maenads, Evohe! Evohe!
Oh Soter, Saviour, Bringing sweet release
Free my soul from bondage that I may never cease
To dance with joyful spirit free
Thine is the cup of wine of ecstasy
That brings liberation and release,
Freedom from suffering, and holy peace
Oh Lord of Equilibrium who balances extremes
Zeus's Holy Son, embodiment of Godly schemes
Eleftherius Dionysos, lead me in Thy holy way
To a Blessed life, guided by Thee I pray.
