Nine- Date?

"Do you swim?" She Asked him,
"Of course, why?" Was his answer,

The two of them had waited until 7 before they got ready and put on their swimming gear to head down to Aramine's favourite spot, the lake.

It was always where her and her brother Jon would go, but that was before the king and Queen, their parents, died.

"Just trust me 'Thew'." She said dragging him through the forest as She erupted into giggles at his puzzled expression,

"Thew?" He questions, a humorous glint in his eyes

"Well Matt is too typical." She defended.

"Your being so..... normal today." He says swinging the picnic basket about, almost dropping it several times.

"Well I'm off duty and we're not on official business..." She said trailing off with a shrug of her shoulders.

"A date?" He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively

She giggled and slapped his chest,

".... maybe...?" She smirked at his fake hurt expression.

kissing her temples he trips her up, before she can question him any further he swings her into his arms, carrying her bridal style, her red light gown ruffling slightly.

"Put me down you don't know where we're even going!"

"I'm guessing that way ?" He says pointing to the ground and dropping her harshly onto the hard brown forest floor,

She screeched and landed with an 'oomph', She took a moment to remove the dirt off her skirt and perfect her glare before they march off hand in hand to the waterfall,

What am I doing? I'm supposed to be a queen, what happened to cold and calculating?

'Shut up brain', She scolded and ran into the clearing,

A circle of trees and green forestry surround a gorgeous lake style lagoon, secluded and closed off in their own little area, with a high brown cliff that has water running off it, like in that herbal essences shampoo advert.
The sunlight sparkles on the water like little crystals and the ground that surrounds the water is scattered with pebbles and rocks ,

"Woah......" Thew says as he takes in the area, even more beautiful with the blue Skies and light wind,

They pull open their picnic and and Aramine shred her dress to reveal her blue swimming suit, it's strapless and almost blends into the water that She sat next to, Thew sits next to her with a pair of trunks on as they stuff chocolate strawberries and champagne into their mouths,

"Do you think Logan can hold the fort at the castle for today?" She asked Thew,

"He's going to have to because I want some quality time with my queen." He declares as he boops her on the nose with his thumb,

She smiled and grabbed both of his hands and pulled him towards the lake, the cool crystal clear water tickles between her toes as She tries not to step on any sharp stones,

"Nice suit," He adds, as they reach her waist depth in the water,
She sat down in it and floated out a bit until She was swimming about , the two of them splash each other and clamber up the cliffs only to launch off of them into the water in some, rather absurd dives on Thew's behalf.
They each share memories and stories, nothing too mad, favourite colours, birthdays etc.

Aramine POV

As the day droaned by I felt like me and Matthew got so much closer.
so close in fact that when we float about in the water next to each other,
Our eyes never leave each other, in a  moment of extreme intense eye gazing, he sweeps my soaking hair behind my ear, then strokes her cheek with his thumb,

"Beautiful..." he mutters as he trails his hand around the back of my shoulder and down my spine, rendering me breathless until he is holding me like a child in the water, I unconsciously wrap my arms around his neck as we lean in closer, our warm lips not quite touching,
I feel his warm breath fan on my face and I'm the one who leans in, I angle my head, praying my breath doesn't smell as I touch my lips to his,

They are so soft and warm, the kiss starts off sweet until we both become hungry, our lips devouring each other, teeth and tongues clash as our free hands roam each other's bodies,
He Nips at my mouth for entrance and  I give it and let his sandpaper tongue explore my mouth,
The sensations of kissing him are unlike any other but I'm saddened by the thought that we are not mates, no tingles, no electricity,

And it's that that causes me to pull away, our foreheads pressed together, as we both breathe heavily,

"I bet you can't catch me" he teases as he disappears beneath the water with my hands still around him, im forced to get a breath before disappearing after him.

"And If i don't?" I say smirking

"Il tell everyone we've Been snogging" he replies sticking his head out the water and winking at me.

And with a horrified expression I swim about after him, forgetting all our problems, just in our own little world. Me and him, him and i, us.

Beautiful, powerful and no longer alone.
