When I first dreamed of Edward, it was a month after prom. I'd stayed up late, trying to finish reading a book I'd become obsessed with but failed. My eyes had a hard time opening after a while and I only opened them again to turn my lamp off before turning over and immediately falling into a deep sleep.
I found myself sitting in my room, writing a poem. My eyes were filled with tears, the image blurry and distorted. Every movement was sluggish and without any conscious thought. I saw an apparition of a man in the corner but I couldn't make it out.
The image danced before me like a movie filmed in the forties but with the addition of color and clearer words. It was fuzzy and complicated, a true hazy paradise. I could make out the table next to me and my duvet but they weren't the ones I knew. They were black with scratches etched into them.
"Alison," it said and I knew that it was Edward. He approached me and sat down next to me. He stopped my hand from the frantic scribbling of words. I looked into his green eyes. Why were they green?
"What are you doing?" I asked slowly, hearing my voice echo throughout my room.
He cupped my cheek. "I want you."
I felt my body revive and I moved to touch the planes of his face. The face I'd wanted to stroke for months. "I've always wanted you, Edward."
He didn't respond but he didn't have to. He collided our lips and I felt myself crumble around him. We became a bundle of touches and kisses, struggling to be as close as humanly possible. Somehow we ended up with our clothes off and him on top of me.
He whispered a few things into my ear but I couldn't make out the words enough; they were not cohesive. Then he was inside of me and I felt all of my fears go away and I basked in the glory that was Edward Cullen. We moved in sync, feeling each other in every possible way. I practically sang his name, feeling myself come undone with each passing second.
In a flash, I was torn from Edward and flung against the room. Without my knowledge, my clothes appeared on my body like they'd been there all along. My body ached from the impact and I looked up to meet Bella's furious eyes.
"Stop. Trying," she seethed before grabbing me and throwing me out the window. I fell and landed on the ground, surrounded by ravenous wolves. They circled around me before a large black one pounced.
My eyes opened slowly and I blinked a few times before rubbing my eyes and sighing. I reached my fingers up to touch the dreamcatcher. Damn thing didn't work.
I turned over and felt the sobs consume my body.
I had no idea why I started crying.

VampirosWhen I first saw Edward, I was sitting in a cafeteria eating some gross chicken nuggets from the lunch line that I doused in honey mustard. It wasn't the most exciting lunch I'd ever had, but it became the most defining moment in my life.
