Prologue

-THE START-

"Yay! I'm finally back from where I came from." I stated to myself and get my luggage then walked away.

I saw my cousins waving at me with their banner. Uh, nakakahiya. But, yeah it's been 8 years since I left the country and I just came back today.

"What the hell is that banner for. So jejemon!" I said and gave them my other bags.

I only plan to stay here for a month since I live in Canada already. I came back because my high school friends will be having a reunion next week. Actually dapat kasabay ko si Griel, she's my bestfriend for more than a decade and we've been living in Canada. She needs to fly to France kasi daw may emergency sa work nya, so a day before the reunion daw sya makakadating dito sa Pinas.

"Wow! Englishera na! Ganyan yan! Nangangalimot porket 8years di nagpakita!" - Juls

Btw, they're my cousins. Julia Heryl Andres, an Engineer. Marie Graciel Andres, a Flight Attendant. And Angel Jane Yasis, an Architect. I was the one who graduated late because my profession took at least 8 years before I graduated.

"Anong hindi nagpakita! Lagi nga kami nagkikita ni Ciel sa Canada kada doon flight nya! Sa bahay ko nakikitambay si gaga!" Sagot ko naman at inakbayan si Ciel.

"Ako lang 'to pre. Nexttime kasi magtravel ka din. Puro ka bebe eh." sagot naman sakaniya ni Ciel.

Hanggang ngayon maingay pa din sila. Pero hindi ko na itatanggi na grabe pagka-miss ko sakanila. They are my real cousin, and my bestfriends. We've been so close nung bata pa kami. We always get in touch naman sa Face Time pero iba pa din pag magkakasama kayo.

"Let's plan an outing bago ako bumalik ng Canada." Suggests ko habang nilalagay yung bagahe ko sa compartment ng kotse ni Angel.

"Bet. Pero baka mamaya scam yan ah! Ilang beses na tayo nagplano di natutuloy!" Sabi ni Juls

"Eto lang naman si Rix 'di umuuwi eh!" Sagot naman ni Angel habang nag dadrive.

"Well, I'm sorry. I was busy with work. Hospital duties, you know." Sagot ko sakanila with confidence.

I am very proud of myself because I finally achieved all my goals and plans in life. Especially my dream to live and migrate. I was a fresh graduate of my pre-med course, nursing when I applied for a scholarship in Canada Medical School. It was a very hard process but with the help and support of all my family, I manage to get accepted. I graduated in college with a latin honor, "Magna Cum Laude". That's one of the reason why I also get accepted with full scholarship in Canada Medical School.

It was like a dream when I received a mail from them. It was my dream to become a doctor and study in Canada Medical School. 

But you all know that everyone makes sacrifices. And I sacrificed a lot to achieved that dream. I left my family just to pursue my dream, and I am still single actually. And he's one of the reason why I stayed single. My family actually manages the business I've started here in the Philippines and guiding them on what to do and if there's any problem. 

When I was in 3rd year of nursing, I asked my dad if I can get just a small land na pinamana sakanila ng lola ko, and he agreed to give me a 5 hectares as a giftt so I can start my dream farm. My dad helped me getting a license about it to legally start a farm there. I also buit a coffee shop near my farm.
