Ready? ~ An Osamu Dazai Fanfiction {Bungou Stray Dogs}

Hey guys! So, before this begins I would like to say a few things. For those familiar with Bungou Stray Dogs, they would know that the loveable character Dazai has an obsession with suicide.

If you are unaware, Dazai was based off of a real man named...well Dazai Osamu. He was an author also obsessed with suicide. He wrote a novel (I believe) called No Longer Human. Yes, which is Dazai's ability in the anime.

If you don't know what a shinjū is, in Japanese theatre and literary tradition, double suicides (shinjū) are the simultaneous suicides of two lovers. Couples who committed double suicides believed they would be reunited in Heaven.

Dazai is heard talking about shinjū a lot, especially in his 'suicide song' here:

From what I remember, the lyrics went something along the lines of: You can't do a double suicide alone, but you can with two.

He was heard quoting: "I want to commit double suicide with a beautiful woman. That is my goal, currently." And that is what inspired this fanfiction. Hope you enjoy it!
