It's funny how you always said we'd be
We'd breathe the same air and conquer the world
We fought the same dragons yet you fought infidelity.
When confronted you screamed it was absurd
And I believe your every lie
Because I wanted this love and I wanted it now
So my heart and head took sides
And I never breathed a doubt aloud
