She's holding out her hand to me, I know this before even looking at her. "Dance with me and pretend the world doesn't exist." She pleads.
I'm not looking at her face but at her shoes. She's wearing converse under her dress. Who wears converse to a dance?
"Vi look at me," She demands, and I do, her eyes look lime green, and her lips cherry red from her lipstick. "Dance with me."
She grabs my hand without permission and pulls me towards her. Her hands wrap around my neck and mine go around her waist awkwardly. We sway back and forth to Ed Sheeran's thinking out loud. She begins to sing along to it, and I eventually begin to hum it. And after that, there was no going back.
