In werewolf cliches there are mates (which are basically soulmates) but in EVERY cliche werewolf story the MC's ( YUP a girl ) mate will end up being the alpha. Why? I don't know. It's not like there's other ranks of a pack.
And then the MC is like, "Oh my gosh! My mate is the alpha! I'm so lucky like this literally happens to no one."
Well unless the MC has been living under a rock for the past... I don't know? FOREVER! There are many... many many many girls who WILL have a alpha as their mate.
