It's been a month since Tanner's dead and there was been no progress in the investigation. Rumor as it was an animal but everyone was getting anxious with the absence of news.
"Wow" Elena says as she sees her twin coming down the stair carrying a bunch of bags
Evangeline looks at her sister in between all the bags in her hands "good, you're here" she says enthusiastically
"Arghhh" Elena complains knowing what was coming next
Eve tilts her head at her sister with a disapproving look "don't give me the 'arghhh' this is not my fault" she defends herself
Elena puts her hands up in surrender "sorry" she says with a smile playing on her lips
"So" Evangeline says putting the bags on the kitchen isle "Lily send me the to do list" she informs taking her phone from the back pocket of her jeans
Elena lets out an amused laugh making Eve laugh as well at how controlling Caroline could be "what do I have to do?" Elena asks
"You're on dress duty" Eve states "you have to go pick up her dress from the store" she adds
Elena nods approvingly "it could be worse" she points out
Eve grins "oh it will be" she declares making her twin frown "after that you have to go to the grill and help decorating" she informs with a mischievous smile
Elena sigh deeply "what are you going to do?" she asks
"Well I'm going to get these decorations to the grill and help her set up everything in there" Eve informs going through the bags "here it is!" Eve exclaims pulling out a sparkly tiara with purple fur on the base
Elena laughs at the sight of the familiar accessory but her smiley face is quickly replaced with a frown when the doorbell suddenly rings. Eve on the other hand opens a big smile and runs to the door
Elena follows her sister "what's going on?" she asks suspicious
Eve glances behind her at her sister "I call reinforcement" she declares with a grin before opening the door to reveal Leo and Stefan on the other side "Hi!" she greets with a sly smile that made Elena understand that the guys had no idea what they were in for
"Good afternoon Evangeline" Stefan says politely walking into the house in the direction of Elena and kissing her gently
Leo squinted his eyes at Eve "what are you up to?" he asks walking in as well
She gives him a 'what are you talking about' look "nothing" she says sounding unconvincing
Stefan and Elena turn their attention to the conversation as well "I was promised cake" Stefan points out with an amused look
Eve closes the door and steps next to Leo "and there will be cake" she informs "just not now or here" she adds with a sheepishly smile waving her hands around to make her point
"What's that?" Leo asks gesturing to the tiara in her hand "are you proclaiming yourself princess?" he jokes
Eve rolls her eyes at him "no" she blurs out like it was obvious "my tiara would be pink" she jokes sticking her tongue out at him
"That doesn't surprise me" Leo jokes taking the tiara off of Eve's hand
"Hey" Eve complains trying to reach for the sparkly object but Leo holds it behind his back and out of her reach "you better not break it" she warns pointing her finger at him
