You pushed yourself off the ground tiredly before rubbing your drowsy (e/c) eyes with your curled up hands. It had been three days since seeing Tim, and you knew you'd have to go back outside again and meet someone else. This time, you'd be meeting two of the people. Jessica and Jay were there names if you recall correctly. In order to do that however, you planned to rent a room at the hotel the Operator brought them to beforehand.

"(y/n), you ready?" Lawlie called from the living room. You shouted back a response and slowly sat up in your bed. You and your brother had decided on bringing you to the hotel at midnight so you wouldn't run into either Jessica nor Jay when you first got there so you'd have time to rest and put away the items in your suitcase first. Since you knew you'd be leaving, you went to bed with a black tank top and sweatpants, and outfit that could pass as both Pj's and morning clothes. You lazily grabbed a black jacket off your nightstand and put it on to cover the Operator symbol tattoo on your shoulder. You can't let them see that you're with the very thing that's out to get them, can you?

You sighed and made your way downstairs, then into the blue vehicle that is your brother's car. He had agreed to drive you since you never got your license, but even if you had one he still would've refused to let you drive alone in the dark to a hotel. Lawlie immediately started talking as he began to drive. He mentioned things like how he put extra things in your suitcase or reminders to call him every day. You simply nodded to everything he said and looked out the window, still half asleep from your nap. When you finally got there, you climbed out of the car sluggishly and went to the trunk of the grey-blue car. Before you could open it, your brother held up the lid and handed you the luggage, before pulling you into a hug.

"Are you sure I can't just walk you to your room? I could help you unpack," He asked. His eyes watered and his grip on you tightened ever so slightly.

"Come on, bro. I'm not leaving forever, I can manage." You said, eventually hugging the look alike back. "I'll facetime you everyday, morning and night." You assured him. He nodded and pulled away, wiping his tears.

"A-alright (y/n). You better hold true to your promise, I'll be waiting for you to come back home." At this you rolled your eyes and playfully punched his shoulder.

"Alright drama queen. I'll see you tomorrow." You said. You then picked up your bags and made your way to the run-down hotel. The staff already knew you'd be coming, so getting to your room was easy enough. Now all you had to do was- oh, never mind. You're already asleep.

You awoke to the sound of two voices conversing in the halls. You looked up at the digital clock on the night stand to see the time; 10:51. Sighing, you stood up from your cozy bed and yawned, stretching your arms sleepily. 'Man I smell... I'm probably going to have to be a lot more hygienic if I'm going to be in public.' You thought, heading to the bathroom for a nice shower. By the time you had finished taking a shower and brushing your hair and teeth it was 11:03, which was fairly usual. After all, you have to know how to get ready quickly when you work for the Operator, so by now it's just natural. Finally, you pulled on a dark blue tanktop underneath a long-sleeved light blue plaid shirt that you left unbuttoned, a pair of dark blue jeans and black combat boots. By now you were thanking Lawlie for dressing you up and giving you fashion tips, heck, he even hand-made you some clothes, and it was really paying off. You looked good, and most importantly normal.

'Time to meet the neighbors.' You thought. You made your way to the door to the hall and pushed it open slowly. 'Seems like they've either left, or went back to their own rooms.' You observed before exiting your room and closing the door behind you. Your room was the only one not conjoined with Jay's and Jessica's, so you had to walk across the hall to greet them rather than just opening the closet doors. Getting to the first door, you thought about what to say before hesitantly knocking. Within the first few knocks the door opened to reveal a slightly short skinny girl. Long wavy brown hair rested at the sides of her pale face, and her dark brown eyes were outlined by dark bags screaming 'lack of sleep'.

"Can I help you?" She asked, messing with the sleeves of her unzipped black jackets.

"Hm? O-oh, yeah." You said with a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of your neck with one hand awkwardly. Either she was embarrassed at the awkward greeting, or she was sick (or so you thought) because the paleness in her cheeks were replaced with a bright red blush. "I just meant to say 'hi' to my neighbors, you know?"

"...that's a little... odd. I mean, we're just in a hotel, so we're not really... neighbors." Jessica pointed out. You blushed a bit at realizing your flaw, attempting to find a cover up for your mistake.

"Right! You caught me! I really just thought you were pretty and came over to meet you. Pretty pathetic, right?" You said the first thing that came to your mind, which made both girls blush. The hand that was on your neck dropped to your side awkwardly as a short silence fell.

"Th-thank you. Um... what's your name?" Jessica finally asked, breaking the silence. Sighing in relief you smiled and held your hand out, using the 'handshake' thing you previously learned.

"(y/n) (l/n). Yours?" You asked as she took your hand and gave it a light shake.

"Jessica May." She replied. She then let your hand go before gesturing to the interior of her room. "Do you want to come in?" She offered.

"Actually, I was thinking you, I and another person could go out and hang out at a cafe for a while. Unless, of course, you already ate lunch?" You asked, to which Jessica shook her head.

"Who else is coming?" She asked.

"Um, just someone a friend of mine thought I should meet." Lies. "I think his name is Jay?"

"Jay? You mean the guy next door to me?" You nod in response. "Well, I'll go get ready give me a few minutes.

"Okay, I'll meet you in the parking lot." You said as she closed the door. After a few seconds you moved to the next door a gave it a knock.

"Hello?" A man with brown hair, pale skin and baggy brown eyes answered, opening the door for you. He held a camera in one hand as he spoke to you, filming your every move.

"Hey." You responded. "Um, me and Jessica are going to go eat at a cafe, we were wondering if you'd come too?" You invited him. He looked a bit surprised and flustered for a bit before awkwardly responding with a 'sure'. It seems curiosity got the best of his caution, but that's not unusual for Jay from what you saw in the Marble Hornets entrees so far. "Alright, we'll meet in the parking lot then?" He nodded to this, and you then wandered off.
