Thunder rolled like clashing titans. Lightening streaked across the sky, fragmenting the black storm clouds with luminous bright light. The entire planet of Delrakkin seemed to shake with the next thunderclap, its deep rumble vibrating the ground. Frightening and inspiring all at once. It calmed Naelo Bah-Atiniir on a level she couldn't explain. If only the same could be said of young Mirjahaal, who clung tightly to her mother in fear. Naelo held her child gently, rocking her back and forth.
"There is nothing to fear, cyar'ika(sweetheart). You cannot come to any harm here in the cave."
"It's scary," the five year old cried softly.
"It will not hurt you, it is only a loud sound." Naelo tilted her daughter's head to look her in the eye with a smile. "Remember, you are a Mando'ade. You have nothing to fear. Not only will I protect you, but so will all of Mandalore."
Mirja nodded as Naelo wiped her cheeks for her. "I am a Mando'ade. I-I'm not afraid."
More enormous booms in the sky sent Mirjahaal right back into Naelo's bosom. The warrior woman laughs and kissed the little twi'lik's head.
"You will get use to it. Like I told you, we will be here for two and a half weeks. I thought it would be a good place to start on those skills you keep begging me to teach you."
Mirja's silver eyes practically glowed as she gave her mother a bright smile.
"Really? You mean it? You'll teach me to do the fire sword dancing and how to shoot and stuff?"
"Indeed," Naelo grinned. Mirja's enthusiasm excited her. This trip would prove to be very enlightening and fruitful for them both, of that Naelo was certain.
