Chapter 2

His lips form into a playful grin though his gray eyes shows danger. I don't know what's the problem of this guy. I just stared at him.

"Hmm, zep will be graduating this year so next year hindi ko na siya estudyante, siguro hindi naman masyadong maaga para bakuran ko siya no?" Prof demetriou answered with a playful smile plastered on his face.

Sa sinabi ni prof automatic na natuon ang atensyon ko sa kanya. I felt a warm feeling inside my stomach.

"Kung ganun bakuran mo ng mabuti. You wouldn't know someone will take her in a blink of an eye" the guy said. The playful grin was gone but the danger in his eyes is still there.

I looked up to him. His face is dark, his gray eyes are emotionless.

Prof. Demetriou chuckled "Of course, my woman is a fine lady, many man out there are ogling and dying to have her. Unfortunately, this girl belongs to me. And they can't have her without going through me"

His words bring unknown emotion to my system. Ito na ba yung sinasabi nilang kilig?

"We'll see about that then" he glance at me before he turn his back and walk away.

Now, prof demetriou and I left alone. I suddenly felt the awkwardness. Yet I'm still overwhelmed of his words.

Tumikhim ako, para mawala yung bumabara sa lalamunan ko. Pakiramdam ko kakapusin ako ng hininga.

"Sorry about that zep" prof. Demetriou broke the silence

"It's okay prof, but he's weird, we barely talk, so why would he think that we have some, ahmm... Kind of.. R-romantic r-relationship... And what you said earlier..." Gosh! Talking about that was awkward, sa tingin ko lahat ng dugo ko sa katawan, napunta na sa pisngi ko.

"Yung sinabi ko kanina? Wala yun. If you felt uncomfortable because of what I said earlier, just forget about it. It doesn't mean to me" sabi niya

"O-oh okay"

"I think I should go, baka kung magtagal pa ako rito, mapagkamalan na talaga na pinopormahan kita" tumayo siya "see you around zep" then he turned his back.

I watch him walking away.

I assumed.

And that hurts.

NANDITO ako ngayon sa parking lot. Naghihintay ng sundo ko. Alas singko palang ng hapon kaya siguro wala pa si daddy, madalas kasi alas sais niya ako sinusundo.

Nahigit ko ang hininga sa kaba ng may biglang may sumulpot na humaharurot na yellow ford mustang! The car will gonna hit me! Parang na tulos ako sa kinatatayuan ko. Hindi ako makagalaw, my heart is beating fast, I shut my eyes tightly. Yumuko ako at napahawak sa ulo ko na parang makakaprotekta yun sakin mula sa humaharurut na sasakyan.

I wait for the car to hit my body. But suddenly I heard the loud noise of car's brake. I slowly opened my eyes. Parang bigla nang hina ang tuhod ko ng makita kong ilang dangkal nalang ang layo ko sa bumper ng sasakyan.

Napaluhod ako sandali dahil sa panghihina ng mga buto at kalamnan ko dahil sa kaba, pilit na inaalala ang nangyari.

Nang nakabawi ako sa kaba, tumayo ako at pumunta sa pinto ng sasakyan sa driver seat. Marahas na kinatok ko ang bintana ng sasakyan. Walang hiyang driver to! May balak pa siyang patayin ako! At hindi manlang ako binabaan para tingnan kung nabundol ba niya ako o hindi!

Unti-unting binaba ng driver yung bintana ng sasakyan. Gayun nalang ang pagkulo ng dugo ko ng makita na naman ang pares ng abuhing mata.

"Mr. 'whoever-you-are' may balak ka bang patayin ako?! Para malaman mo mas mahal pa sa halaga ng sasakyan mo ang buhay ko kaya mag-ingat ka naman! Gosh! I almost got killed!" pasigaw na litanya ko

Pero ang lalaki parang walang balak magsalita, blangkong nakatingin lang siya sa akin.

"So wala ka manlang bang sasabihin?! Hindi ka manlang ba magso-sorry?! Muntikan mo na kong patayin for pete sake!" naka high pitch na yung boses ko. I've never been this mad and pissed. My actions in every situation are always composed and calculated but now I can't hold myself anymore.

Ngumisi yung lalaki at napailing na parang may nakakatawa sa sinasabi ko. Seriously?!

"Hindi ko alam na nagiging hysterical rin pala si Ms. Poker Face, kailangan mo pa palang sagasaan para lang makita ang ganitong side mo" nang uuyam na sabi nito

Was he insulting me?! So he's trying my patience huh!

"So? Kahit sino naman siguro ang maranasan yun kanina magiging hysterical! Don't make it a big deal! Sisiguraduhin kong makakaabot sa guidance office ang insidenteng ito! Ang mga katulad mo dapat binibigyan ng leksyon para magtanda!"

My anger raise it's peak when I heard him laugh like I'm the funny thing ever happened to him.

"I see. You become talkative when you're angry. That won't scare me even a bit miss, kung hindi mo alam tambayan ko na ang guidance office. Sawang sawa na rin yung guidance counselor sa pagmu-mukha ko"

"Okay fine, whatever, never mind, I hope karma will kick your balls for being an asshole! 'cause I'm tired of talking to some worthless jerk like you! Bakit pa nga ba kita kinakausap, hindi mo deserve ni segundong oras ko" Then I turned my back at him. Such a waste of time.

Hindi pa ako nakakalayo ng hatakin niya ang braso ko at isandal sa sasakyan niya. Napaawang ang labi ko dahil sa pagkagulat at konting sakit dahil sa marahas na galaw niya.

He leaned his hands on the car. Caging me in between of his arms.

I'm staring in his gray eyes full of unknown emotions. His brows furrowed. His jaw clenched. His lips tightened.

Parang naduduling ako sa sobrang lapit niya. Unti-unting tinutubuan ng munting kaba ang aking dibdib. I've never been this close to a man before.

I tried to push him but he's strong and way taller than me. I can't overpower him.

I stiffened when he brought his face near my ears. I can feel his warm breath.

"We're not finished talking yet. You know that I really hate people turning back at me? hmm" I don't know but his whisper sent shiver down my spine.

I don't know what to say anymore. I can't find words! Damn! I think I'm scared because my heart is beating fast.

"Don't you ever use that words on me woman. You don't know what I'm capable of, miss" he is whispering but his tone is full of authority.

"Argos Ivmir Demetriou. Remember that name miss. This will not be the last time our paths will cross, so have a hold of yourself"

My mind is in turmoil. His words are still processing in my mind.

"What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? Or you're in your usual silent self again?" with that, I raised my brows on him.

Does he know me?

"Ano ba talaga ang problema mo ha? Bakit bigla ka nalang sumusulpot? Sinusundan mo ba ako?" I said without breaking my eye contact to him. I have to act strong so he won't do what's on his mind, if ever he has bad intention.

He grinned.

Instead of answering my question. He said something weird.

"Finally, you already noticed my presence" he said.

"Zephyr Izquierdo" he whispered
