Sitting alone in a bar
Drinking away a broken heart
Later on I'll stare up at the moon
Wondering why you had to go so soon
It seems like when the whiskey hits
The puzzle pieces start to fit
Or maybe it's when I crack a cold beer
That everything is finally clear
But why does there have to be a drink
For me to sit and just think
I wouldn't want you to see me this way
But it seems to happen each day
Yet I wish you were down here with me
