"Care, this is kind of rough." Mike said, looking over at the blonde.

"I want to know everything." She replied, causing him to nod slowly before opening the door, turning on the lights. The second she realized what it was she took a deep breath, holding it for a second before letting it out.

An unfinished nursery. The paint wasn't even finished, everything had just been left. There was even a crib in the corner, along with a rocking chair in the opposite one. Carrie didn't know what to say. There was a hole in the wall, a hole that Carrie almost knew was put there in anger.

"Was it a boy or girl?" She asked, stepping inside of the bedroom.

"Girl. Her name was Ella." Mike answered, pressing his lips together as he stared at the rocking chair. The memory of them both sitting there picking out names broke his heart.

"What happened?"

"They don't know. It was a few months after we got married." Mike looked into her eyes, Carrie noticing how upset he was.

"I'm so sorry." Carrie walked over, wrapping her arms around his neck. It killed her to see him so hurt. She felt horribly for not being able to give him a child, even if she didn't remember.

"Hey, it's okay. I am okay. Right after, you and I were broken it felt like. We just laid in bed with each other. We didn't want to see or talk to anyone. We went to church one Sunday and the Pastor said, "I don't know why bad things happen but I have to believe something good must come out of this." He was right." Mike said, looking down into her eyes as he wrapped both arms around her. "This broke our hearts but we soon noticed that it didn't break us. Ella is in heaven dancing around more happy than either of us could have made her. Knowing that made us stronger." He explained, her looking down at the floor as she slowly nodded.

"Thank you, for showing me this." Carrie said, returning her stare to him.

"Come on," Mike held her hand, leading her out of the room and down the stairs.

Mike was right. Carrie's miscarriage was easily the hardest thing that either of them had been through and when they never thought they would, they pulled through. The death of their unborn child brought them closer than ever and made their relationship stronger if possible. It made their relationship with God stronger as well, which was important to them.

"Oh my gosh. This is beautiful. Mike, you didn't have to do any of this." Carrie said, shaking her head as the two walked into the barn. She couldn't not smile. This man made her happier than ever and this truly showed how much he cared about her.

"I wanted to. Carrie, you mean more to me than anything. I want to make you feel special all the time." Mike squeezed her hand gently, her blushing as he pulled out her chair for her.

"Are you trying to get me drunk?" She laughed, taking a sip of the wine.

"No, three gets you drunk." Mike replied, kissing her cheek before sitting down at the table, handing her a napkin that had a two forks inside.

"Thank you but why two forks for me and only one for you?" She questioned, causing Mike to shake his head with a chuckle.

"Well, after the salads I have pasta and I know that you hate using one fork for two different things." Mike answered, her lowering her head. "What's wrong?" Mike asked, confused for a second.

"You know all of this stuff about me." Carrie shrugged, taking a bite of salad. "You know all my little quarks and everything I do and don't like. I don't know much about you." The blonde added, causing Mike to reach over, holding her hand.

"Hey, stop that. It isn't your fault. Care, you will learn things with time." Mike said, kissing her hand, causing the faint smile to return to her lips.

The two ate their dinner, chatting back and forth, Mike sharing some of his favorite memories of them together while Carrie listened carefully. She wanted to remember things. She wanted to know everything about Mike like he did her.

"Thank you for all of this Mike." Carrie looked around the decorated barn before she noticed Mike staring at her. "What?" She laughed, him laughing along as well before looking away from her.

"Nothing, but we aren't done." Mike stood from the table. "There is one more thing that I want us to do." He said, holding his hand out her taking it as she stood up.

"What is that?" She asked, Mike putting his arm around her as they walked back up to the hill towards the driveway.

"It is a surprise." He replied, her gasping once she saw the pool to the left of the house. "We're not swimming." Mike said, causing her to frown. "No I'm kidding." Mike poked her side, her squealing. "Come on," he lifted her over his shoulder causing her to scream loudly.

"Mike!" She giggled, smacking his butt over and over again causing him to continue laugh. "Put me down!" Carrie began coughing from laughing so hard. She screamed again once he put her down, thinking he was throwing her in the pool. "I don't even have a bathing suit." The blonde said as he removed her shirt, Carrie awkwardly turning around.

"That's okay. Neither do I." Mike replied, unbuttoning his shorts, pulling them down. "Come on, Care." He laughed, pulling her shirt over her head. Carrie shook her head as he cannon-balled into the pool, splashing water on her. "Gosh this feels good." Mike added, her debating one whether or not to take off her jeans. "Baby, we're married. I've seen all of it." He reassured her.

"No, I'm fine." Carrie replied, taking off her jeans, Mike staring at her. "Is there any drinks out here?" She questioned, Mike pointing to the pool house.

"In the fridge on the right. Will you get me a beer?" He said, her walking into the pool house and getting two beers out of the fridge. Seeing the radio in the corner of the room she quickly turned it on, blasting it through the speakers outside.

Mike shook his head, pressing his lips together as he smiled at his wife, her walking out of the pool house with two beers in each hand, spinning in a circle dancing to the music as she made her way to the pool. He loved that she was so fun and playful.

"Thank you but I didn't need two." Mike laughed, taking two of them from her and sitting them on the cement once she got to him.

"Well, two for me and two for you." She replied before gently kissing his cheek. Carrie wasn't acting crazy or out of the box but Mike could tell that the wine had started to hit her and couldn't imagine how she'd act with two beers in her.
