Living in Sweden in the year 1917 was almost peaceful. When every country was on the brink of war, Sweden had somehow managed to stay out of it. And The Mikaelson decided to stay in Sweden for a while, for they did not want to participate in any more wars.

In a small but wealthy town in Sweden lived a girl by the name Naomi Paulins. She was the talk of the town since everything she did went against how a lady should behave. She always dressed like a queen while other times she wandered around wearing men's pants. She never seemed to be willing to marry someone, and that caused a lot of gossip about her. Naomi walked the town with such grace, that it was impossible not to adore her. If a stranger would see her for the first time they'd believe that she was royalty, but she was nothing more than a common citizen. 

 Her life was good, nothing bad or nothing too good had happened.

That is until her brother disappeared on one night, leaving the younger girl absolutely devastated.  She swore to find her brothers kidnapper, no matter how long it took.

And yet, she didn't notice that her brother disappeared three nights after he talked to the eldest Mikaelson, Elijah.
