DASAL - One shot

Hi ako si Andrew. Ako ung tipo ng tao na tulog mantika. One time nga nagkakarally na sa tapat ng dorm tulog pa din ako eh. It takes 5 minutes para magising ako kung gigisingin mo ako. Ganun katindi.

Si James naman ay isa sa mga room mates ko at suki sa paggising sa akin. Concerned sya na hindi ako malate sa klase kaya sya ung nagsisilbing alrm clock ko sa araw-araw.

Isang araw, nakita ko si James na nakatulala. Mukang anlalim ng iniisip nya, problemado. Nagulat nalang ako ng bigla nya akong kausapin.

"Pre, mukang di na kita magigising. May pupuntahan ako eh, malayo. Pero may ituturo ako sayo na dasal para magising ka on time"

"weh? effective ba yan? at saka teka nga bakit parang problemado ka?" tanong ko naman

"basta pare, sana kahit wala ako magising ka na on-time para di ka malate"

"nakakatakot ka naman, para kang mamamatay eh, hahaha.."

"kaw talaga, eto ung dasal ok, kailangan neto full concentration, isang mali mo lang siguradong di na xa effective"

"ok, ano naman yan?"

"I offer this prayer for the poor souls in the purgatory, please wake me up on this time (time na gusto mo magising) 3 our father, 3 hail marys and 3 glory be's. Walang amen to ha.. Then start ka our father ... do not bring us to the test but deliver us from evil, hail mary  ... and at the hour of our death, glory be ... as it was in the beginning, now and ever shall be worth without end, our father.. after ng pangatlong glory be saka ka palang mag amen sigurado gigising ka sa oras na yan.."

"grabe andami mong alam.. kung babae ka lang iisipin ko mangkukulam ka eh hahaha.."

"basta pare gigising ka na on time ha?"

"oo na..

After that day, cguro mga 3 days after, hindi ko na nakita si James, nakakandado na din yung locker nya, ang loko di man lang nagpaalam.  3 araw na din akong late.

One night..

Napagisip-isip kong gamitin yung dasal na tinuro saken ng kumag, malay mo tumalab..

Parang tanga lang ako nagpapaniwala, let's see if magigising ako.

"Ui Andrew, gising, aba gising na!!" yugyog saken

"Ui James! kumag ka san ka ba ngsusuot bigla ka nalang nawala?"

"Dyan lang, ui salamat ha, pinagdasal mo ako"

"Ulol, bakit kita pagdadasal? salamat sa paggising ah, maliligo na muna ako"

Pagbalik ko wala na sya, kumag talaga, imposible naman na dumaan lang si James dito para gisingin ako.

Normal lang naman yung araw na un at nakalimutan ko na din ang paggising sa akin ni James kaninang umaga hanggang sa...

...may komosyon sa kwarto namin

nagkakagulo at may mabahong parang mas malala pa sa patay na daga..

PATAY nga...

si James, nagpakamatay at nagkulong sa loob ng locker nya.. Kung panong naka-lock un sa sa labas, walang nakakaalam. Tinanggal na ang anggulong foul play dahil malinaw na malinaw na SUICIDE ang dahilan ng pagkamatay nya.. Himalang walang amoy at ni isa sa amin na nasa kwarto ang di nakapansin.

GM nya sa aming 4 na magkakasama sa kwarto. Si Luigi, room mate ko din ang unang nakakita sa kanya sa loob ng locker. Si David naman ang nakakita sa akin kninang madaling araw na nagsasalitang magisa at kausap si James kahit wala naman sya. At ako naman, pauli-ulit kong naririnig ang "I offer this prayer for the poor souls in the purgatory" at "ui salamat ha, pinagdasal mo ako".

Simula nun hindi ko na inulit dasalin un at nauuna na ako sa alarm clock ko na magising.

Ikaw, tulog mantika ka din ba? itry mo dasalin to, siguradong magigising ka on time, dahil.. gigisingin ka nila...
