My father has been in a state of... I would say, discomfort? I don't know how to explain it, but ever since he found out my little brother fled he has been a bit rough. A pity too, I wanted to meet him. Mother was no different, she kept going on and on of how it was her fault. I don't want to be rude, but it is. She said too much information, giving away hints that my little brother Theo really was the hybrid prince.

Being the miserable vampire father was and how much sulking mother as doing alone in her room, I had to take over as Alpha and Sire of the Royal Bloodlines. It was my duty as the eldest child of course, but just because I was the eldest doesn't mean I want to do this. Mother and father understand completely that I don't want the throne, but because of the state my parents are in currently, I have no choice but to rule until they stop rolling around like children.

I was stuck in the Royal Bloodlines' office, taking calls and going through so many papers. Thank god I'm only the leader here for a little while. I actually feel bad if any of my siblings are taking this job. Maybe Fredrick would take the job, or Johnathan too. Zachary is out of the question, he's only twenty-five. It may be a high number for regular wolves and vamps, but since when are we ever regular? We are royally spoiled brats who are still spoon fed by our mommy. Not true, but my point is proven.

"Hey brother," I looked up from my desk, my youngest sister Tabitha entering the room, "how's life as Sire? Is it fun?" I put my pen down, looking right at her. "No," I groaned, face planting onto the desk swarmed with papers, "and for the last time sis, this is also a pack. I'm the Alpha and the Sire here."

"You're not the Alpha, technically mother is." She scoffed, "You think you can bite over a hundred men and women and successfully change them into weres? You don't even have canines."

"That's because I'm not a wolf sis, I'm a vampire for heaven's sake. The only sibling here that can truly rule both is our brother Theo, but he's been missing for five years and I highly doubt he'd want to to rule as king. From what I've been told, the pack he was raised in beat the shit outta him. He should be the strongest out of all of us, but with the way he's been raised, it won't happen."

"Why did mom and dad even want another kid anyway? There was already nine of us, weren't they happy with us already?" She thought, then looked at me, "Do you think we were just failed attempts to achieve the perfect child?"

"Perfect?" I chuckled, "No one is perfect Tabby, and I learned that the hard way. I always wanted to impress father, and I succeeded every time. Around when Freddy was born, I was that brat who thought he would have no chance to win father over because he was a dog. I realized he was happy with whatever his child offered him, and that pissed me off for a while. Trust me sis, our parents just wanted to share. If anything, we are all successful attempts."

"If we're all the successful attempts, does that make Theo the failure? I mean, mom and dad didn't even try looking for him." That was true, but was there a reason behind it? I shrugged, continuing my work, "Beats me, and I'm sure they've got their reasons. Father was probably threatened or something. Now, are you gonna tell me the real reason you're in here?"

"We can't find Zach." She replied. Figures, he's always been the troublemaker. The younger the sibling, the more of a pain in the ass they become. "When you say we, who's we?"

"Sam and John. We've been looking for Zachary since yesterday..." Tabitha said scratching her head, and I had to look up from my work to get my glare right across to her. I sighed, getting up from my seat and crossed my arms disapprovingly, "He's been gone for twenty-four hours, and you tell me know? Father isn't in the mood, so finding out Zach'a been causing trouble is going to take a toll on him. Does he know?"
