Okay. Story time.

This mornin, I woke up around 7:20 to let my sister in the house and went back to bed. Around 8:30, Ma starts yelling at me to wake up. She tells me to get ready to go to the clinic.

This is the second time this week. I have been to the clinic. Without any prior warning.

Wake up, get a shower, get dressed. Now I don't know where my insurance card is. It wasn't in my pockets from Wednesday.
Granny calls to ask for her keys. I'm like,'Yeah, Kay is already on her way but have you seen my card, yknow I rode with you.' She tells me no.

All the way until they called my name to go in, I'm sitting here like,'This woman bout to slap the anxiety out of me in front of the white folks at the clinic in town.'

Doc comes in, tells me I lost weight, take my pills daily, you've gotten taller, we need to take blood.

'Every time I come to this dang clinic they draw blood-what they doin with it?'

I go in the room. Lady tells me to make a fist. I had no problem. Ma makin faces at me cause I have to get a shot. I'm tappin my feet like Jeremy Heere reloads his pxrno. Woman hadn't even drawn the blood yet.

She took three tubes of my blood.
They've never gotten me to bleed an entire tube before, let alone three.

So now, since I've waken up and gotten a shot, I'm trying to walk around the grocery store with this pink band on my arm. Got my mama's friends hugging me with looks of sorrow.

This, kids, is why we take our medicine daily.

Lesson of the story, never pass out on the ice cream aisle. That's where they keep the beers.
