Kaylyn woke up in the morning with a kink in her neck. She got up and stretched her back and neck. Kaylyn runs her hand through her hair and looked over at Jon. Jon was still fast asleep. She smiled as she got up to take a quick shower and got dressed for the rest of the day. She smiled happily then she quietly walked toward the kitchen and started the coffee pot and looked into the fridge. She grabbed some eggs and a couple pieces of bacon. As she started to cook the food, she heard a low groan noise coming from the bedroom. Then Jon came out and smiled at Kaylyn, walked over and held her close. "Good morning my love. I'm sorry that I had scared you last night. I want to be with you for the rest of my life Kaylyn."Jon said as he holds her body close to his. "Morning Jon and it’s alright. I'm just glad you had won the fight. I don't want to lose you ever. “ Kaylyn said as she leans her head against his chest.”I don't want to lose you either Kaylyn, but I do care about your safety. “Jon said as he kissed the top of Kaylyn’s head.
Then there was a knock at the door. Jon went to answer it and in came Luke with a sad look on his face. “What is it Luke? What has happened?”Asked Jon as Luke came in and sat down at the table. “I have some bad news; it’s about your father. I was visiting your mom while I was seeing my own folks, and I just found out from your mom that he just passed away not too long ago.” Said, Luke grimily. “My father is gone? Who will take over the pack? He was the alpha! How did he die?!”Growled Jon. “He was killed by a younger wolf who wanted power over your father’s pack.” Said Luke. Jon just started to shake and then asked. “Who is the younger wolf? I want to go back home and take revenge for my father’s death.” “That I do not know, but you need to get home to Linfield right away. Your mother needs you right now.”Said Luke. “Your right, I’ll go back home and pay a visit to this man who killed my father.” Jon said as he went to his bedroom and started to pack. “Jon? I’m sorry for…” Kaylyn started to say but Jon interrupted. “Don’t say anything; I don’t want you to get involved in this.” Jon said as he got out his suitcase. “Jon? What do you mean? I want to go with you. I want to help! I’m going to be a part of your family.” Kaylyn said but Jon ignored her and started to go out the door. Then Jon turned to her and said. “You stay here, I don’t want you to get hurt and...” “That I’ll be in the way because I’m a normal human? Jon I want to with you when you defeated this murderer. I want to go where you go. I know you’re angry but that shouldn’t mean you shut me out of your life.” Kaylyn said taking Jon’s face into her hands. “Kaylyn, you won’t be in the way, it’s just that I don’t want to worry about you if I have to fight this wolf. He may kill you if something where to happen to me. I’m sorry if I did shut you out. You know I don’t mean to. “Jon said as he pulls Kaylyn into a hug.
“If he does kill you then me. We will be both together then. I don’t want to be separated from you ever. Plus, I know this is going to sound weird but your mom may want to know who is going to be her daughter-in-law.” Kaylyn said as she wraps her arms around his waist. Jon claimed down and laughed. “True, that may be some good news and bad news. Good considering how I’ll marry soon and bad because you’re not a wolf. But, I hope she won’t mind you as a future daughter.” Jon said as he grabbed Kaylyn’s things and set them inside the car. “Kaylyn, take care of Jon. He’ll need you for the next few days. Though he may not want to show it, he cares for you a lot and he doesn’t want you to get hurt or killed by the other pack by any means necessary.” Said, Luke as he pointed out. “I will Luke, and I know he cares but I saw it in his eyes the pain of losing his father even though they weren’t close but that still his dad. I’m going to be there for him the best I can. I love him a lot Luke and you know that for a fact. Plus, you saw me at the match up with me and Brittany. I kicked her butt! I’ll be fine.” Said, Kaylyn as she gets inside of the car.
On the road, Jon pulled over to a local hotel and parked his car. Jon came back with the room key and handed it to Kaylyn. “Thanks, are you mad at me? For coming along?” Asked, Kaylyn as she takes the card key and they enter the room. Jon just looks at Kaylyn and then walks up to her, and then picks her up and lays her on top of the bed. Then pulls her into a deep passionate kiss. Kaylyn gasped at the kiss, Jon held her close and ran his hands through her hair and down her back. “No, I’m sorry I yelled at you. I didn’t mean to. It’s just a shock that my father is gone. I didn’t have a good relationship with him but still he was my dad. I was just shocked that he was killed. He was a strong wolf as well as a leader. He had always put his duty before his family. My mother had troubles with him, but I could tell that my father still had some time for her and for me. As I was growing up I did see him time to time. Even when I left home to start my own pack. I was hoping he could be at our wedding. Now, I have to fight and take my place at the head of my father’s pack. I hope you are willing to move back to my hometown. I love you but if you don’t want to be there just let me know. I don’t know if my mother would want me to marry a human. But if she doesn’t approve, who cares. I’ll marry you no matter what she says.” Jon said as he held Kaylyn close and kisses her forehead.
Kaylyn sighed and lays her head against his chest. “I would like to be approved by your mother and you don’t have to ruin the relationship with your mother in order to be with me. I’ll try my best to prove that I want to be with you with all my heart.” Kaylyn said. They had set up their suitcases and things in the room. After putting their things in the hotel room. “But just to let you know my mom loves me very much and she’ll kind have compare you to Nikki so don’t try to be offended.” Jon said as he made sure they had everything before they left the room. “I understand. Does she know about her death?” Kaylyn asked as she handed Jon the car keys. “No I don’t think she knows. I was still grieving when I met you but I’ll tell her the news when we get there.” Jon said as he shut the door behind them. They both got into the car and started to head to Jon’s moms house.
