Hello! I come bearing another oneshot for Victor and the gang!
I'm actually trying something different here. I wrote this oneshot in Google Docs, then copy-pasted it here. It should be noted that any words that are italicized or bold in Google Docs will revert to normal when copy-pasted in Wattpad. This probably applies to underlined words too, but this oneshot does not contain any underlined words so it's not confirmed.
I don't own Pokemon, but that should go without saying.
ON WITH THE ONESHOT!

Victor the Primarina looked up at the source of the voice--his trainer, Ace. The raven-haired Alolan champ was currently trying to climb up a fairly sheer cliff face, while Sassy, who was above her trainer, urged Ace on as April, who was below Ace, was providing handholds with Grass Knot. The Salazzle glanced at Victor, and the two shared a nervous look as their trainer slowly got further and further away from the ground. This was supposed to be a two-year holiday; a trip to Johto to see the sights and make more friends. They were almost a year in, and Ace was still exploring even the most hazardous places. If his trainer wasn't currently trying to scale a dangerous cliff face, Victor would shake his head at Ace’s “no risk, no reward” attitude.
Rose, the Teddiursa Ace caught little more than two days ago, looked up at her new trainer in disbelief and awe. Who knew humans could be so stupidly brave? Glancing towards the lion-like legendary pokemon--called Nebby, if Rose remembered correctly--the honey-loving normal type sighed. Traveling with a crazy trainer, seeing more of the world, getting stronger--this was her life now, it seemed. Her crazy, hectic life.
Rose looked to the other pokemon in Ace's party. There was Spike, an Aipom who had been traveling with Ace for almost a year; Kebbie, the Gligar who Ace had caught about five months into her holiday; Pharoh, the Mareep who joined Ace less than three weeks ago; April, a grass type (Rose couldn't remember the species name) who had been with Ace since the trainer's adventures in the Alola region; Sassy, a--was it Sizzle? Salazzle? Rose couldn't remember--who also hailed from Alola; Nebby, a legendary from Alola; and Victor, Ace's starter. Rose didn't know where Alola was, or what it was like, but from what the others had told her, Rose figured she'd find out when Ace returned to the apparently island-based region.
Deciding that she wanted to know more, Rose stood up and walked over to Nebby, who was calmly sunbathing where they sat, in a sphinx position as they watched the trio--April, Ace, and Sassy--slowly ascend the cliff.
“Uh… Nebby, could you answer a few questions I have?” Rose quietly inquired, gently tapping Nebby’s paw to get the steel type's attention. Nebby took her attention away from the trio on the cliff to look at Rose. The normal type would later deny gulping nervously in Nebby’s gaze.
“It's Rose, correct?” Rose nodded. Nebby smiled before continuing. “Of course! Feel free to ask me about anything. I'd be happy to answer whatever inquiries you have.”
Rose smiled, then began. “Is Ace actually from Alola? What's Alola like? Why does Ace travel with more than six pokemon? What's the species name for the others? Are you actually a legendary? If so, why travel with Ace? For that matter, what's traveling with Ace like? What--”
Rose paused her questions as Nebby put a paw to the little bear's mouth. At this point, Rose and Nebby were joined by Spike, Pharoh, and Kebbie, who also wanted to know the answers to those questions. The smaller pokemon sat in a half-circle in front of Nebby, and the legendary glanced at Victor before resuming their sphinx pose and facing the group.
