When the moon comes up

And the sun goes down

The children come out to play

Climb out of the windows and rise from the boxes

The raven has come again

A messenger of the mistress

The one in the moon

The one who envy's the sun

Now her children come out and play

Dancing in circles

Singing in songs

For the blood they take

And the ash they make

When the fire burns down the houses

Of those who were cruel and never kind

Of those who walked in the sun

The moon's children come out and play in circles and stars

To help their mother

Walk the earth once again

For they play in shadows

And wake only at night

To see their mother rise each night

And for when their soul is set free

They rise to the sky in the stars

For they are with their mother

Trying to break her free

Free of her prison

The prison of the moon

Put there by the sun

For night is time for play

And the day is time for work

So we play all night, dancing about

'till mother says "lights out"
