Chapter 4: Why is Maddie avoiding me?

*Harry's POV*

"Mum, what's the point of having a neighborhood picnik. I don't want you making a big deal about my homecoming." I said to my mother as I jostled my hair in front of the mirror that stood in our living room.

"Sweetie, I'm just so happy to see my baby!" She said pinching my cheeks and I blushed. I loved my mum! I turned to her and wrapped my arms around her,

"Hey, mum?" I asked and she looked up at me,

"Yes honey?" She asked. I couldn't believe I was asking my mother this, but I just really wanted to know why Maddie was so angry with me. I wanted to know before the boys came because I didn't want them to think I care, because I didn't.

"Why is Maddie avoiding me?" I asked her and my mother looked up at me with sadness in her eyes,

"You miss her, baby?" She asked me and I backed up away from her,

"No! I'm just confused." I muttered and my mother shrugged,

"I really don't know sweetheart. She just said you guys stopped being best-friends. Don't you think you should discuss that with her?" She asked me and I groaned,

"I tried, but she hates me." I explained and my mother looked at me sypmathetically,

"Try harder. You and Maddie were inseparable, Haddie remember?" She asked me and I closed my eyes and breathed heavily out of my nose,

"Please don't call us that, those were the childhood days." I explained and my mum shook her head,

"You're still a child, remember that." Then, she walked upstairs to go check if Gemma was done. I rolled my eyes, why was everyone playing mind games with me? Why couldn't I just get a straight forward answer from someone. I heard the door knocking the boys and Sabrina was here. Sabrina... I was planning on breaking up with her, I just wasn't feeling it anymore and she was kind of using my fame to exploit herself and get "discovered" as a model, but really she looked like she was modeling for the playboy mansion. I didn't need that on my slate, Harry Styles girlfriend a huge slut.

Anyways I opened the door and I saw the faces of all my friends, '

"Whats up Haz!" Liam said ruffling my hair then walking inside, Louis pinched my cheeks and Zayn and Niall gave me a whats up. Sabrina jumped all up on me giving me a great big hug, I heard Louis clear in his throat in the background. All four boys knew I was planning on breaking up with Sabrina, and I kind of felt bad.

"Hi baby." She said to me and I smiled the fakest smile I could muster,

"Hey, how are you?" I asked and she shrugged,

"Well, I was bad until I saw you." She said and I smiled at her. Robin walked inside from the back, he was the one planning everything for the picnik.

"So boys, what do you plan on doing? You guys are here for a whole year!" Robin said and Niall smiled,

"Eat all the food I can!" He said smiling widely, oh that boy.

"Get better looking." Zayn replied and I stifled a laugh,

"Stay with the family." Liam said all humbly, Liam made all of us look bad with his great personality, he was so lucky he was my best-friend.

"Try not to see Harry naked to much." Louis replied and I rolled my eyes,

"I don't get naked that much." I said and everybody looked at me with a crazed look in their eye and I corrected myself,

"Okay maybe I get naked, but still." They all laughed and then I heard the door knock.
