The funeral home sat upon a grassy hill, the clouds loomed over the city just for the day. She hoped there wouldn't be thunder, she had always feared it. As she walked to the door, he saw an older lady with her old husband walking to the door. Her husbands face was stone cold, despite the occasion but his wife was sobbing.
She recognized their faces, their son was the on laying in the cassette. She fought back tears and remembered all the times he would try and cheer her up on the phone when she would cry.

She opened the glass door and followed the mourning mother and father. The building was eerily quiet and depressing. The building brought upon a wave of sadness that washed over her, past that which she was already experiencing. She turned the corner and saw a room with open doors. Within the room she saw people, some were sobbing, some were confused because they were too young, some were simply emotionless.

She stood paralyzed in the hall just by the door. Her heart pounding and her tears collecting. She took a deep breath and walked in. Immediately she was met with the sight of the open cassette. She fought back the tears, as they collected they stung her eyes. Her heart pounded as she made her way to the side of where he lay and stood over him. Artwork and other assorted things were placed around him. She smiled a melancholy smile as tears began to rush from her eyes. Her hand brushed through his hair and she set it down neatly making sure he looked his best. She pulled a small group of flowers out that resembled those from her hometown and placed them on his ears as she did in the park that they used to meet at. Her hands shook as she pulled them away from him, every memory she had with him flashed through her head. She took a deep breath to calm herself and then she spoke softly,

"Just one last time, John"
