Kasey and AJ: University

Pilot

[20 year old girl walking on the side of the road holding books at a suburbain area on a sunny day.]

20 year old girl: [inside her head while walking] Hello my name is Kasey Allie Dickerson and I know what your thinking. [sarcastic laugh] her last name is the name of a male private body part because that is just hilarious... I mean if you are a stereotypical 12 year old boy.

[Cuts to a stereotypical 12 year boy sitting on the edge of his bed.]

Boy: Mommy! The TV is talking to me again!

[Cuts back to Kasey still walking.]

Kasey: [still in her head] Anyway you may now be questioning yourself "Just where is Ms. Dickerson walking to?" My answer may sound cliqued to some but allow me to insure you that is not my intention. Today is my first day of college and not just any college but [out loud] my ideal college!

[Kasey with her arms in the air and a confused college girl and guy standing outside of the college.]

Girl: Umm... [weird look] who are you talking to?

[Cuts to the Intro]

[Kasey walks upstair holding her books and bumps into a male college student. Her books fall so she bends over and he grabs her ass. He then lets go.]

Male: Let me know if you want more baby. [He says while walking away]

[An anthropomorphic porcupine in the college football team confronts her]

Porcupine: Hi I'm Alfred Jones but friends call me AJ. What's your name?

Kasey: I'm Kasey Allie... uhhh... [under her breath] Dickerson

AJ: Well Kasey your going to want to be careful around here guys are pigs and ONLY after sex.

Kasey: *rolls eyes* How do you know?

AJ: Because I'm one of them! *with a smile on his face*

Kasey: *sigh* So you're saying that ALL men including yourself are a sexist stereotype that television, movies, video games, and other media have made aparent with their characters?! Even if this were a true statement by yourself it is still ignorant because if ALL men are this way then in order for me not to know your theory would mean that I would have never met a man in my entire life! So I ask you Mr. Alfred Jones do you think about your implications before they spew from that vile mouth of yours?

AJ: Uhh... Just be careful okay?

[Man in a tuxedo walks out of the college]

Man: Hello my name is Mr. Addams and it warms my heart to see all of you freshman chose this college. Considering that we are such an open minded school I have asigned unisex dorm mates meaning you can get a boy or a girl as your dorm mate regardless of gender. I have posted the dorm mates chart on this door behind me. Now onto-

[Every freshman except Kasey rushes up to the door to read the charts. Kasey then helps up the Dean.]

Mr. Addams: Why thank you Miss...?

Kasey: Dickerson.

Mr. Addams: Well Ms. Dick-

[Students reading the chart start laugh and Mr. Addams turns towards them.]

Mr. Addams: REAL mature!

[Mr. Addams turns back to face Kasey.]

Mr. Addams: I applogize on their behalf. However I would like to finish this coversation with you. Come see me in my office?

[Kasey follows the Mr. Addams to his office but is cut off by AJ.]

AJ: It looks like dorm mates. I guess I can now call you "dorm mate Dick" now huh? [laughs]

Kasey: Your juvenile jokes really give your sex a bad name. In fact it is people just like you who assume that stereotype you mention previous, who ARE that stereotype! And will make sure I talk to Mr. Addams about my displeasure towards you.

[Male Student from before grabs her ass]

Male: I bet your boyfriend Mr. Addams can't treat you like I do. [winks]

[Cuts to Kasey and Mr. Addams in his office.]

Mr. Addams: Ms. Dickerson I asked you into my office because I like to know each student attending my college individually. So then I ask how are you enjoying the University?

Kasey: Well honestly Sir not so great.

Mr. Addams: I see how can I make your experience here more conforting?

Kasey: For starters, a different dorm mate. As mine is a sexist juvenile kid.

Mr. Addams: Does this have anything to do with his race?

Kasey: Of course Not! You said it yourself this is the place of "open minded" individuals. That reason is why I chose this school. However I'm starting to wonder if I made the wrong decision.

Mr. Addams: Exactly what do you mean?

Kasey: Well as I mention formerly my dorm mate and also... umm... [begins to tear up] there is male here I feel as though he is trying to rape me. As he keeps grabbing my ass.

Mr. Addams: That's horrible! I'll start with the former. There is a reason I picked Mr. Jones as your assigned dorm mate. You see I've been looking in his files and I think once you get to know him you'll like him.

[Kasey rolls eyes]

Mr. Addams: What happened to being "open minded" [smiles]

Kasey: I believe first appearances are everything and it gives an example as the person they are.

Mr. Addams: Examples aren't the true test. [Smile on his face with a raised eyebrow] Are they Ms. Dickerson?... As for your other "epidemic." I would need his name and proof that he has touched you in order to do anything about it.

Kasey: You mean to tell me that because I do not have the NAME or PROOF of my offender then there is nothing you are able to do?!

Mr. Addams: Well yes in order to file a police report-

Kasey: Woah woah woah!... police report?

Mr. Addams: Well yes all of you are adults and the ONLY way to solve problems is by our armed officers.

Kasey: Long story short being in your office was a complete waste of time.

Mr. Addams: I wouldn't say a complete waste. [smiles]

[Kasey leaves Addams' office and goes inside her dorm where she finds AJ smoking pot with a female passed out on the floor]

Kasey: I thought you were immature before but now I see you for who you truly are- scum... not only are you scum but your...your...[sad face]...my dormmate.

[Kasey leaves the dorm]

AJ: Kasey wait!

[Kasey walks outside the dorm]

[The Male Student (from before) grabs Kasey's ass and kisses her then walks off]

[In a stormy night, Kasey sits down on a bench infront of her dorm and begins to cry. AJ comes out to confort Kasey.]

AJ: Kasey... I know you've had a rough day settling in and honestly I probably haven't helped the situation. And I can understand if you want to change you dorm mate. But... I know this is an awful excuse but I was honestly nervous talking to you. It's like you brought an emotion that I have never felt with another female. That is I want to know you as a person... you seem very interesting. I'm... I'm sorry Kasey.

[AJ walks back into the dorm while Kasey whipes the tears out of her eyes and gives a smile of relief. The screen turns to Kasey's back with the bench and the credits begin to roll in the stars.]
