Patrick whimpered as he opened his eyes. Everything hurt and he didn't know why. All he remembered was... Someone broke in his apartment.

He groaned in pain as he sat up. Where was he? Everything was white.

"Mom?" He asked weakly. "Gee?"

"Patrick, shh," his mother's voice soothed, and gently pushed him back down on the bed. "Do you remember anything?" She asked softly, her voice cracking.

"The-There was a man," he whimpered and clutched the blankets. "He kept hitting me."

"Oh, my baby, I'm so sorry," his mother whispered. She grabbed Patrick's hand carefully and rubbed circles on his palm. Patrick hummed at the feeling. "That feel good?"

"Yeah," Patrick whispered. "My throat hurts."

"I know baby. I called Gerard. He's coming back down as soon as he can. The police need to talk to you, if you feel up to it," she said softly.

Patrick nodded. "Sure, as long as I can get something for this killer headache," he said, setting a hand on his head.

"Yes, of course, Baby. I'll be right back, okay?" She said. Patrick nodded as gently as he could, realizing before that the movements contributed to his headache. Patrick picked at the material on the white hospital bed until the door to his room was opening again.

"Hey Patrick, I'm your doctor, while you're here with us," the woman said softly. Patrick nodded carefully again. His mother took her previous seat, the chair next to his bed. "Me and my police friends need to ask some questions. That okay?"

"Yeah," Patrick murmured, continuing to pick at his blanket. "Mom said I would be given headache medicine."

"Oh yes, of cours--"

"PRINCESS!"
