Continuation| part 3:

I sat in the waiting room, my legs cause miniature earthquakes beneath my feet, waiting for anyone to give me the reassurance that Chase is alright.

And for some unknown reason, Chase has no parent or guardian listed under his name to contact or on his phone, a nurse and myself look through. So my name was taken down as his emergency contact now, and I could only wonder how he would react to that.

But that's only if he wakes...

I was so lost in thought, I didn't noticed the doctor until he shook my shoulders and leaded me towards Chase without a word, which only aid to my nerves.

With my hand on the door, I paused and ask,

“Is Chase ok?”

“Why don't you ask him yourself.”

My breath hitched at those words and tears came forth but before I can enter, the doctor said something, that changed my life forever.

“I approve of him Amelia, he'll keep you safe.”

Instantly I was wrapped into a unexpected hug by a man I should know, who I'll know from now on...

“Go to him my beautiful daughter, he's waiting.”

Laughing at my shocked state, Dad gently pushed me into the room. Then I heard his voice that made me laugh, smile and cry all in one,

“My father-in-law is pretty amazing, isn't he Amelia?”
