<No POV>

It's been a total of two weeks since Eren Jaeger has been enlisted in the Scout Regiment. During that time, two precious test subjects of Section Commander Hanji's were killed and the Cadet Corps graduates were inspected.

Not a single one of them was responsible according to the information reported.

Later that same day, it was time for the initiation. Commander Erwin's speech seemed to highly intimidate the Cadets seeing that only ten percent of them joined the Scouts.

Be that as it may, the Commander's mission plan was final no matter how many joined, however, there was a minor change.

<Kisami's POV>

"So is it true?"

A few weeks ago, Commander Erwin sent out the plans for the mission, but things are unclear. Captain Evee returned back to Commander Erwin to confirm if this particular flaw is correct.

"It would seem that it's true. The Special Ops Second Division is to rendezvous with the Command Squad. We'll be riding alongside Erwin," she answers.

'What's the reasoning behind all of this? Why is this sudden change important?'

Captain Evee placed a hand on my arm, "Don't worry too much about it. Thinking too hard won't change anything."

I nodded.

<Milo's POV>

Captain Evee didn't let me join her today. Instead, she took Kisami. I was to watch Eren.

"How are you holding up? Seeing as the entire Levi squad tried to kill you a few days ago..."

My question seemed to upset him. It was to my understanding that everyone kissed and made up. Eren is new here and being treated like a monster when the moment is unnecessary is a bit displeasing.

"I've definitely had better days," he answers without giving me attention.

Embre came out and pushed Eren away from me, "Listen up freak show, stay away from my sister."

Five years and nothing has really changed. My brother is still the same overprotective standstill as five years ago.

"Back off Embre. Just because  he can transform into a titan doesn't mean--"

"You two still acting like little five-year-olds," Lyon interrupted.

He's changed a bit. He's more serious. My brother grabbed Lyon's collar and Lyon didn't move a muscle. He simply closed his eyes and crossed his arms.

"Shut up. You're trying to get at my sister too aren't you."

"You never grow up, do you? No one cares about your sister. It's kind of hard to get into someone who really isn't all that attractive to begin with."

Lyon twisted Embre's arm behind him and the Captain's showed up with everyone else.

<No POV>

Embre straightened up after Captain Evee came into sight. Just like both Captain Evee and Milo said: nothing has changed over the course of the past five years.

No one has thrived for change as far as personal issues go. It was a routine that they were all used to. In other words, change is unnecessary.

Kisami and Lyon left everyone outside to cook lunch. Embre walked off as well, pouting. The Levi Squad went to put their horses in the stable. Captain Evee dragged Eren with her inside.

Although it was Kisami and Lyon's turn to cook, Captain Evee wanted to show Eren how to make tea the way Levi enjoys it. When she finished, she handed Eren a cup of tea.

"Go on, have a sip," she encourages.

He took a small swig and spit slightly before remembering his superior was watching him. She chuckled.

"I see you don't enjoy the bitter flavor either. Take note Eren, this is the way Levi likes his tea. I usually make it for him, but the days I'm not able to, he has to make it himself. Since you're going to be in his company a lot, I'd suggest you learn this."

Kisami and Lyon slightly turned to listen in on their captain.

'I suppose if anything has changed, it's Captain Evee's infatuation with Captain Levi,' Kisami thought.

He refocused on making the food.

When Eren and Captain Evee left, Milo dragged Eren away and Evee handed Levi his cup of tea.

"I won't be behind you in this formation. The plan of action Erwin has in store is insisting that your squad lures the target to us," Evee says quietly.

Deep down Levi knows this plan won't end well for his team, but not just his team, the Rear Guard as well.

He eyed Evee, "I understand. Tonight I'm thinking of joining you on the roof. In the meantime, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't--"

Evee was waiting for him to finish his sentence seeing as though he stopped unexpectedly. His gaze hardens on her.

"Staring is impolite you know."

He turned away from her, "I was going... t-to say..." He looked down at his tea contemplating what's on his tongue versus what he really wants to say.

"I... I was... g-going t-to say..."

Evee's face changed. She lowered her head, 'He can't even talk to me anymore.'

"Thanks for the tea," Levi says and leaves back inside.

Evee left to the horses stable to receive comfort from her horse.
