"So, Megan. How's Forks for you?" Carlisle asked, arm around Esme.
"It's absolutely delightful!" She crammed out. But due all the food that she had in her mouth, all that came out was, "Ish absholuchy delachfuh!"
Or something along the lines of that. And even she herself wasn't sure if it was the food or the place, at the moment.
"Manners, Megan." Garrett shook his head, smiling.
"Take it slow, Meggie." Esme was utterly beaming at the sight of the girl stuffing the food into that gaphole one might call a mouth.
"Esme here is just itching to cook for someone." Emmett chuckled from beside Megan. And that was true. Besides Bella, Esme has no one else to cook for, for close to a century. Long time.
But now that Renesmee was born Esme could actually whip up dishes and use that beautiful kitchen the family built for show.
Megan was another delightful guest that Esme could cook for. She burned down her supply of carbohydrates, as if she had an army of red ants eating their way down her stomach. Her high metabolism could even equal themselves to that of the wolf-boys down in La Push.
"This is much better than what Papa usually cooks."
"Oh, really?" Garrett raised a challenging eyebrow.
"Yeah, you burn the toast all the time!" Megan had a mischievous glint in her eyes as she put down her fork.
The other vampires watched as Garrett zoomed off from his dear, not even making a sound. Megan also disappears, and there is now a no blur rushing around the room, the small figure darting around much more than the other.
Megan was ducking here and there, leaving a trail of giggles and blank-faced vampires. She was eager and excited about how this game of catch would turn out.
But just she turned, a figure didn't move out of her way, making her almost crash into another vampire.
"Be careful." She said. Megan looked up to find herself face to face with a beautiful blonde, with piercing golden eyes.
It was Kate Denali, she had heard of the Denali clan a few times since she had come here.
"Hi." Megan greeted with a lopsided grin.
"Forgive Megan for her antics, she is very playful." Garrett zoomed to his daughter's side, giving an apologetic smile.
"It's alright." Kate turned back to the girl, "I've heard a lot about you, pretty flower."
Megan blushed at this. "Kate, can I be so blunt as to ask you something?"
"Ask away," Kate ruffled her hair, making her giggle.
"Can you show me your electrical powers? They're so cool!"
The adults watching this couldn't help but laugh a little at this sight.
"Of course, anything for you, dear."
The radiant smile Megan gave made the Denali's answer all the more worth it.
