Juan watched Shawn's every moment. From the way he talked and the things he did. He was worried. Not for Shawn but for Beyoncé. He could tell that Shawn had changed into this person that he wasn't and it was becoming scary.
Once they were all alone, he pulled Shawn to the side for a quick man to man talk.
"What's up?" Shawn asked him.
"You talked to Beyoncé?"
Shawn nodded his head. He haven't talked to her since leaving his parents house that evening. He didn't know what to say after he found out that she knew what was said between him and Annalise.
"No you haven't because I've been talking to her."
"Then why you ask?"
Juan sighed, "Because she's losing her patience with you and your family Shawn. You were doing good in the beginning and now you're just, i don't know, cocky maybe?"
Shawn placed his glass of water down and nodded his head, "I'm trying to fix it."
"Let me ask one question," Juan said. Shawn nodded his head, giving him the cue to continue, "You do know that she can and will leave you right? I know she has talked to you about her past relationships. She's always been the one to walk away and the guy wanted her to stay. This time isn't no different."
Shawn looked at him, taking in everything Juan was saying. He loved Beyoncé and didn't want her to leave but he knew that she will if she felt the need to.
"So what I need to do?" He asked.
"First thing, you gotta leave here. Go home to your girl dude." Juan has always been about the women. He cared for all of the women he has been with and he wanted his friends to be the same way. It hit closer to home knowing that Shawn was hurting Beyoncé, someone he looked at as his little sister. He didn't need that happening to her.
"And apologize to her. Yeah, she lied. So did you. She never held it against you though. She was in an abusive relationship. No one can open up about those things easily. It took me and her family a year to find out that he was hitting on her. She's been through enough Shawn. Just don't put her through it again."
It didn't take Shawn long at all to leave his boys and go home to his girl. It was still pretty early, going on 5 P.M so he knew she should still be home.
Seeing both of her cars in the driveway let him know that she was indeed at home. He walked into their quiet home and looked around. Everything was spotless and smelled like bleach, like she had been cleaning. He walked upstairs to their bedroom and saw her laying tightly under the covers fast asleep. The television was still on, but he turned it down so they could talk.
Removing his clothes, he hopped in bed with her. She didn't move a muscle until she felt his hands wrap around her body.
"Stop." She mumbled, wiggling herself out of his arms.
