"I know hyung, you don't have to repeat yourself," Jaebum smirked into the phone as he made his way to the luggage area; he and the rest of the members finished the Japan leg of their tour. "Hyung, oh my gosh. Don't worry. What do I have to do to make you believe me?" He looked up in time and saw you. He could hear his heart beating loudly, everything was moving in slow motion for him, a blur. It was just you and him. "Hyung hold on." He pulled out one of his headphones and watched you. As usual, you were off in your own world staring at the board reading what time the flights will be coming in and out. Sad to say, things didn't end too well for you both.
"Y/N (y)ah 왜 그래? (Wae gurae; Why are you like this?) Out of all the people, I would expect you to be the most understanding."
"Oh I understand all right! That trainee has a thing for you and you're practically leading her on!"
"You're being ridiculous."
"How? By pointing out the truth."
"I'm not even going to waste my breath on the matter because it's pointless."
"It is not pointless Jaebum-ah! I don't see why you can't tell her that you already have a girlfriend."
"You know I can't do that."
"Yes you can! JYP-nim said it's alright for you guys to date."
"I don't want you to get hurt."
"What's hurting me is how much resistance you're putting in telling this girl to step down."
"So what? You want me to tell everyone?! Huh? The whole world too? Is it not enough for you Princess?!"
"Jaebum-ah-"
"Will that make you feel less insecure?!" you gasped. Those words stung and he knew it. He was too angry to even apologize that he walked away slamming the shared bedroom door. The next day he received a text from you saying that you two should break up. He happily agreed.
He sighed and just as he was about to walk towards you, you looked in his direction. You both stared at each other unmoving, afraid that the spell would be broken. As Jaebum was about to move again, an arm slung itself around your shoulder and you slowly turned to look at the man smiling. The spell was broken, everything was shattered. He watched as you smiled and hugged the man. The man took your hand and caressed it. Before you let him lead you away, you took one last glance at JB and bowed slightly.
Jaebum was brought back to the present when he heard his hyung's voice over the phone practically yelling in his ear and feeling Jackson's arm slung around his shoulder. "Ah hyung.....미안해 (mianhae; sorry). I got distracted. No, no, everything's good....of course I'm serious...I'm always good...I just was feeling a bit nostalgic that's all." He took one last glance at the now empty spot and let Jackson lead him away. This too shall pass....
