(Gordon's POV)

I get to the gym before school starts. Today is my first meeting with the Cheer Squad. But my brother was right, I only signed up to see Winter. Which would have been okay if I were a girl but I'm not and plus I'm gay. But I won't let it stop me!

I walked in the gym, expecting to see him there, but I didn't. Maybe he's late, or what if he didn't even join?!

"Well, Gordon, I didn't think I would see you here........" I turned around and saw a certain blonde haired girl.

"Oh hi Cynthia! I decided to join as well!" I gave a big smile. But all I got from Cynthia was a cold smile.

"That's really sweet, but you know I'm going to be team captain again and everyone will love me, so don't even try to get any ideas."

"Ideas? About what.....?" I asked.

"Y'know like choosing sides with Nicole and trying to be a matchmaker for her and Juniper?"

"Ohhhhh! Well, she absolutely hates Juniper so why would I try to ship them?"

"If that is true, why does she always talk with Juniper?" She smirked.

"Actually Juniper is the one who talks to her, he wants to be friends with Nikki. Nicole just doesn't want him to. She prefers to be alone. So you don't have to worry about a thing. He's all yours if you want!" I say in one breath.

"Do you seriously think I can be so easily fooled? You know that she has a interest for him, you just don't want to admit it. You liar!"

"Wha-" I took some steps back and tripped over my own feet, falling backwards. I waited for impact to come but it never came. I was held securely by a pair of strong arms. I looked up and saw a familiar silver haired antelopian.

"You.......okay?" Winter says, putting me back on my feet. Me, not being able to speak, nodded, blushing as red as possible.

"Cynthia, how many times do I have to tell you not to intimidate the new members?" He sighed.

"Me? She's the one who's intimidating me!" Cynthia lied.

"I was here the whole time......plus, I know for a fact that Gordon would never try to do something like that, he kind, sweet and selfless." He took me to the other side of the room.

"Sorry about what happened there, you're okay, right?" He asked. I just nodded.

"All I did was answer questions about Nicole and she called me a liar. But I didn't. I was simply telling the truth about her and Juniper." I explained.

"Oh yeah, the new kid. Everyone's been talking about Cynthia and him. But I see him better with Nicole than her." He said.

"So how are your siblings?" I asked.

"They've been pretty good. How about yours?"

"Same. It's Nicole I worry about the most though. She just doesn't trust anyone anymore." I leaned against the wall, trying to keep my cool even though I was internally screaming.

"She just needs some time to be healed. Nicole's been going through some rough times. Maybe you could try to help by showing her to people." Dusk put a hand on my shoulder. I tried not to blush.......but that ultimately fails.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Maybe I'll try to get her to be more open." I smiled. By then the whistle blew and coach wanted us to sit on the bleachers.

The whole rest of our time, we just needed to get papers and our physicals in by our next meeting.

But having being able to speak to Winter made me feel so giddy inside. I can't believe that he actually noticed me! Maybe we'll have a chance together.....
