Nicki was there the day her parents died. Her brother thought she didn't know he planned to go back in time to rescue them. So she snuck into the time machine when he wasn't looking. When he found out, he was furious, but then realized that he couldn't be mad at her for doing the exact same thing he wanted to. Now they work together to make sure no one goes through what they did.
