All my bridesmaids walled out with their respective dates/boyfriends and stood by Shawn. I could see him but he couldn't see me.
I hadn't told him that I'd asked Taylor's dad to be the one to walk me down the aisle since he had only recently found out that mine had died when I was about 6.
"Belle, you look beautiful. Your father would be so proud."
"Thanks. Where's my mom?"
"She's already in there, waiting to watch you walk down the aisle to the man you chose to marry."
I stay quiet. I'd always wanted my father to approve of the man I'd marry. But I'd never know if Shawn was someone he'd approve of, no matter how many times my mom said he would have loved Shawn.
"Belle, your father would've approved of him. Stop worrying. You look beautiful and you have a great guy in there waiting for you. At least that's what Taylor tells me."
"Of course."
Taylor's dad held out his arm to me and walked me down the aisle to Shawn.
