The Togrota is the same species as Ashoka Tano. The Togrota mans name is "Cham". Cham does die in this book but he does have the same name as General Syundulla"s father. The Togrota species are both cannon and Legends content. In Cannon the species were enslaved all the time it seemed. But the Jedi would always come and save the day. In legends the species dates back to before the Jedi civil war.
