Today was a boring day inside the infirmary for Cody and Noah hasn't arrived yet. He said he would come but the waiting had made Cody feel impatient. It was still morning and the brunette sighed as he laid on the bed doing nothing but gluing his eyes onto the tv. He spent an hour watching this cartoon which brought him little entertainment to waste time on. Soon there was a knock on the door and Cody jerked his head towards its direction. "The door is open! You can come inside." He said not moving his eyes away from the door. Cody hoped it was the sarcastic cynical teen but his hopes went downhill to see it was just Tyler. His smile dropped and this made him groan a little. Although, he tried to hide the fact of his disappointment and brought that smile back right up, even if it was a small smile across the corner of his lips. "Hey Cody! Sorry to hear that you got mauled by a bear, saw that episode yesterday last night dude." He sat down, pushing the chair close to Cody's bed trying so hard not to fall which he failed miserably because he pushed too hard and fell face flat on the floor. "It's fine but it also sucks to be in here! Nurse says that I have at least two weeks to stay in here before I can go out to have my own room and hang out at the Playa." Two weeks of torture and pure boredom. Tyler was so lucky to go out instead of staying in here, trapped.
Before Tyler could say anything else, another knock was banging at the door. Tyler stood up and went to go open the door. To Cody's surprise, he saw it was Noah coming in with his book in his hands. His eyes looked away from the book he was reading and glanced both Cody and Tyler staring at him. "Am I interrupting here? I can just leave and come another time." Noah rose a brow to see Cody shaking his head and Tyler just standing there. "Nah! You can stay, we're not really doing anything. Just talking about my injury here. Right Tyler?"
"Totally! Anyways, I have to go kick some butt! Eva and I are going to play Football which I'm not ready for because Eva is kinda scary when it comes to sports. Either way, I'm gonna beat her! See ya later dudes!" He said before running off. Noah rolled his eyes and closed the door behind him. "He's definitely not going to win." Noah commented then sat down. "And sorry that I was a bit late. Had to get away from Katie and Sadie's yapping and drooling over Justin. I was forced to hear them talk because they needed my company apparently. I couldn't properly read with those two talking." Cody chuckled at this. He kinda felt bad for him because Katie and Sadie liked to talk about their friendship and pretty guys. They could keep up their conversations for hours which annoyed most contestants and losers. "Oh, well that's okay, I thought you wouldn't come at all! I thought you were still sleeping or hanging out with somebody else!" Cody remarked. "No, I was abducted by aliens. Yeah let me remind you that I told you I was coming over. The one who suggested it in the first place." Noah rolled his eyes. This kid. "Haha sorry, I guess I overreacted." The brunette laughed a bit and rubbed the back of his neck. It was a good thing he could feel his whole face by now and being able to touch his hands without the bandages that were wrapped there.
"So how's the treatment working for you?" He asked rather curious as he stared at his body and all the way up to the gap toothed boy. The staring made Cody feel flustered, it was like he was observing him. He hadn't realized that he was shirtless until now from Noah's staring. Why would he be embarrassed about that? It's normal for guys to see other guys shirtless, right? "Feels a lot better than yesterday. The cuts don't hurt that much like it did last night and I can move freely without the bandages that were wrapped onto my whole body. The sad thing is that I still have to be in bed for at least two weeks. I was told that I should stay here until I'm completely healed up." He explained while pouting his lower lip and crossing his arms. "Two weeks shouldn't take so long. It'll fly by fast before you know it. Then sooner or later, you'll be right inside your own room. A better room than the cabins we had to stay in over at camp Wawanakwa. No roommates included and you don't have to suffer over their annoying rants and such. Especially Owen's atomic fart bombs. It feels like freedom in here, then again it doesn't because it gets boring too. By that I mean the whole island resort." Noah admitted. "Don't worry Noah, you won't be so bored when I'm here! When I am healed and stuff, I'll make sure you and I will have fun in this resort."
"Oooh fun, way to bring up my mood." He waved both of his hands and snickered at the brunette who was frowning. "I'm serious!! That's a promise too! The Codemeister never fails!"
"Is that so? Because he obviously failed at swooning over the gothic girl. Pretty much, you aren't the ladies man as you see for yourself. But okay. I like to see you try." He had a point there but it wasn't going to stop him from trying. "Hey! I could have won Gwen over if I didn't hook Trent and her together. I had my chance!" Cody defended yet failed when he looked up at Noah who was raising a brow. "She has and had a huge crush on Trent since day one, there is no way you would have had a chance." The dark tanned boy shrugged his shoulders and wondered if Cody would just take the hint. Sadly, Cody knew he was right. 'I mean, who would ever love me for the way I am? He's right though...' He thought as he drifted his gaze away. "Yeah, I know. My feelings won't change even if I tried. That's how crushes work haha.." The awkwardness filled in and the room was quiet. Both boys didn't say anything. Not until the nurse knocked on the door and stepped in to give Cody his breakfast tray. "Hello, came by to give you your breakfast. You must be feeling pretty hungry." The talk sure made Cody lose his appetite but he didn't want to sound suspicious so he accepted the tray. "Thanks." He managed to say. The nurse looked over at Noah waving at him and said hi before she left, leaving them alone. Noah propped his book open and started to read to himself. On the other hand, Cody ate his food quietly as he made quick glances at Noah here and there. He glanced at the book he was reading and from the looks of it, Noah seemed to enjoy what was going on with his eyes moving at the words on the page of his book. Cody smiled and didn't notice he was staring too long before Noah looked up to stare back at him in his gaze. Quickly, Cody adverted his eyes away as he felt his heart jump and felt his cheeks heat up. He had no idea if he was either staring at him or back to the book. To his answer, Noah began to talk. "I saw you staring." Man, couldn't he just ignore it and didn't say anything else about it? "I-I wasn't staring! I was just checking out the book you were reading! I see you're a big Harry Potter fan eheh--" He laughed rather nervously with his embarrassment tagging along as he fidgeted his fingers against the covers. "Whatever, I know you were checking me out." He smirked jokingly. "The stories to this Harry Potter series are pretty good. Really interesting and has quite the fun into it when you read further to them." Noah said finishing the last chapter to his book. "So now that I'm done reading, what do you feel like doing? Not that there is much you can do." He snickered to which Cody chuckled and responded right back. "Want to play 21 questions? I know we were talking about each other and getting to know one another yesterday but it's best to stay out of boredom right?"
"Right. I guess it could distract us since we have a lot of time to spend. Okay, you start out first." Noah smiled and decided to lay his arms and head on Cody's bed while looking up at the other. Cody hitched his breath into a stop to Noah's actions then proceeded with the first question. "Umm what's your favorite animal?" He asked. "Dogs, I have a golden labrador back home. Allergies?" Who knew Noah would have a dog. The thought of him having a dog could mean that Noah has a soft spot for cute animals. Even better. Cody thought which he mentally slapped himself for saying it. "I have a few! Black, brown, and red ants. Bejo beads, katydid crickets, wolf spiders, the clear-winged Cithaerias pireta butterfly, and goat saliva."
"Goat saliva?"
"Goat saliva." Cody nodded. "Sexuality?" He didn't know why he asked that really. He was about to change his mind and say that it was an accident and meant to say something else but Noah had already answered the question without hesitation. "I'm gay." Straight up saying it. Cody's eyes widened as he opened his mouth. "You're gay?!! Not that I don't mind but I didn't know you were gay."
"So if I was riding a unicorn through a rainbow and eating a happy meal, would you believe that I'm gay?" He squinted his eyes before letting out a sigh. Noah was flamboyant after all. That could have at least given the hint to Cody of knowing that he was gay. Or even the way he talked. Most of the cast members already knew about his sexuality. Was Cody really that oblivious? Cody sure did feel stupid now. "Oh I see! Is that why you kissed me on the ear at the Awake-A-Thon?" He questioned. Noah's face went red, blushing furiously at his question. Noah would have thought he'd probably forgot about that kiss because he himself didn't even remember about it until now. "That was an accident! I was in my sleep! I didn't mean to kiss or cuddle you! And I thought it was my turn to ask you a question." He huffed seeing the other male laugh at his reaction. "Alright alright haha! Ask away Noah!" The brunette chirped which brought both teens to laugh together until Noah asked him another question. "What is your weakness?" This one was an easy one, even for Cody to answer. "Sweets! I can't live without them. I have a sweet tooth. If you ever have candy or any sorts of sweets, I am sure to steal it from you or hang out at your room everyday so I can eat them! Lollipops, chocolate, candies, cake, sodas you name it!" The gap toothed boy smiled. "No wonder why you're too sweet." Noah said. Too much candy, yet this guy is going to get diabetes if someone handed him sweets every now and then. Hopefully, he won't go overboard. Noah wasn't a big fan of sweets. Too much would make his stomach hurt. "Ever got a sugar rush once in your life?" Noah asked. "Yeah! I had this birthday party when I was like ten and my parents hid the piñata away from me because it had candy in there. Well, when they were going to the store to get the cake, I stayed inside the house and saw where the piñata was hidden when I was searching for it. I ate a whole lot of candy that was in there. That's where I had a sugar rush and grounded on my birthday when my dad found out." Noah couldn't help but snort and let out a laugh. "Oh god Cody!"
"Note to self, must not eat too much sweets or else." Cody laughed also then realized something. "Hey! It was my turn to ask!" Noah smirked and playfully rolled his eyes. "Kinda too late for that, don't you think?" The brunette grinned and nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah. So tell me, what's there to enjoy about the Playa de losers. I haven't gotten to see the whole view. Keeps me wondering." Cody said. "We have a chlorinated pool where you're allowed to swim freely. Be careful if you're around with Izzy, she tends to pee in the pool sometimes. She also pretends to be a shark. Don't want your ass to get bitten. She has the urge to do so sometimes. It's fun to stay in and relax in the water. We also have a stand in the center of the pool that you can sit and drink smoothies and other beverages. I usually hang out there to read and drink with my swimwear. You'll find me there from time to time if you ever want to chat. There are a lot of rooms here for the losers to sleep in and have their own privacy. Bad thing is that Chris is always watching us no matter what you do. Not inside the rooms that is! Good thing he lets us have our actual privacy instead of invading by spying through his cameras. Same thing goes for the bathrooms. If he ever wants to see us, it's only outside of the rooms where he has his cameras set up. We've got the living room down the hall downstairs. It's where we get our breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their are sofas there too. That's pretty much what you have in this resort. Inside the rooms you have your king bed, a tv, a bathroom, your own closet, an air conditioner, and cabinets to put it in your clothes or whatever else you have. That summons everything. Oh, forgot to mention that we have balls you can play with out at the pool. You know, sports aren't my forte." Noah finished explaining, not forgetting anything that's in the island. Cody awed and wished two weeks had already passed by now. "Ahh! That's pretty exciting instead of staying inside this hell infirmary room! Now I wished I wasn't attacked by a bear so I could roam freely around this place. Ugh, I can't believe this." He sighed while Noah patted his back. "You'll manage to survive. I believe in you."
"Thanks Noah. Day two and I only have twelve more days in here. My first stop is going to be your room before I can go to mine. Hey, have they already brought my luggage to my room?" He asked. "Yeah, your room is close to mine from three doors away. Come hang out anytime you want. I'll make sure to give you the number so you won't confuse yourself." He insisted ruffling Cody's soft chestnut silky hair. Cody leaned against his touch and smiled warmly feeling comfortable. Noah was a such a great friend. He should have became friends with him since day one at the camp. Cody always had the feeling that he would insult him and use that sarcasm of his towards him to get Cody to go away. Now that he was finally able to talk to him, Cody noticed how nice the other male can be. Sure he was still using that attitude of his but that was part of his personality, so he couldn't argue with that. He was slowly opening up to him too.
And it was fun to just talk and ask questions than doing anything else. The time he wasted on was all too worth it. Cody wouldn't admit it out loud though. Moving his head away, the brunette tried to fix his hair. "Thought of an idea! We should watch a movie together!" His eyes sparkled and grabbed the control remote pushing on the button guide. He was trying to scroll down the channels to find a movie he could spot and watch with Noah. This would be fun. He did promise to keep Noah entertained and have fun with him. "A movie? It better be a good one or else I'll leave you alone." He teased. "Please don't leave!!" Cody whined, still trying to find a movie. "I'm only joking with you. Just hurry up and find a movie." He said turning his chair and his whole body towards the television screen. "Found one! A classic horror movie. As you can see, I'm not scared of any scary movie. Bet you'd be the one screaming tonight!" He smirked proudly to himself while Noah rolled his eyes. "Delightful, let me just go ahead and pee my pants while screaming in horror. Eeeeeee..." He rolled his eyes as he crossed his own arms as he turned his head towards him and frowned. Cody laughed pressing the channel of the movie and started to watch it with Noah. Through the whole movie, Noah wasn't even making any sort of expression on his face. He was completely blunt through every scary scenes. Meanwhile, Cody shivered and jolted whenever their were children and adult screams, creepy looking ghosts, and paranormal stuff happening inside the screen. He yelped as he tried covering his mouth and once the violence and gore began to happen, Cody screamed latching his arms around Noah, shaking in fear with his teeth chattering. Noah smirked and cornered his eyes at the brunette. "Seriously? It's not even that scary..."
"Says you! It's just....that...I...aHHH!! HE'S OUT TO GET THEM!! OH MY GOD SAVE THE CHILDREN!!!" Cody cried out as he hugged the other male around the other's neck tightly and hid his face against Noah's shoulder. Noah was simply enjoying this except for the fact that he was choking and telling Cody that he was killing him! What a joke. Once the movie was over, Cody moved his hands away and flushed in such embarrassment. First he was proving himself that he was the man here and at the end he ended up hugging onto Noah's dear life and not letting go. Noah was nowhere close to being scared to the movie. Even so, Cody felt himself blush as he looked down knowing what he did back there was way too embarrassing to admit. Something with the hugging made him feel so different. The way he had his arms touch against the other's skin by the neck then shoving his body against the side of Noah's body. His heart was pounding from this weird sensation and also because of the horror film. He could see Noah bursting out in laughter and pointing at him whilst his other hand grabbing onto his own stomach. "You should have seen yourself! You were so scared hahahaha!!! We should watch another one!"
"No!!! I mean pshh-- no need to watch another one." Cody waved his hand off and tried to hide the fact that he was so scared to watch another one. "Ha wimp! I could tell how scared you are right now. The way you had your arms around me like a frightened puppy. Or was that an excuse to touch me?" He raised a brow to see how Cody was going to answer this one. Might as well come out clean and face it. There was no way he was going say that he looked and acted like a frightened pup nor had the excuse to touch him. Both of them went combined because of how scared he was over the movie. "Okay geez, I admit that it was kinda scary..." Cody said having his index finger almost touching his thumb with his own hand. "I trust you then." Noah then stood up while stretching out his arms and his back before sitting back down. "You know, I didn't think I'd make any friends here. On both islands. I don't really have many friends back at home. The only time people notice me is when they want to copy off my homework or need help because I'm the brainiac at school. I never had this much of an interaction with a person so I'm really glad to be hanging out with you." The dark tanned male grinned at Cody, an actual smile that had Cody smile right back with his cheeks heating up once again. He just couldn't look away from him. Those words meant a lot to him and that smile of his was in fact rare to see once in a while from Noah. "Wow, that's so nice of you to say! I also didn't have friends here besides Trent and Gwen and back at home, I barely have any. Hearing this from you makes me happy to be here, thank you Noah!" He said automatically hugging the know it all teen and felt the other hug him right back in return. The hug didn't last long because the nurse ruined it when she came to check up on Cody. The brunette quickly pulled away from the hug before the nurse could even questioned it. Since the check up was going to take hours, Noah finally decided to leave. "I'll see you when I can, I had fun." He said as he looked away then waved once he left out of the room. Cody sat there not paying any attention to the nurse who was talking to him. His smile wouldn't leave his face one bit. Something about Noah made him feel so different in a very good way. Was is it possible that he was starting to like him? He didn't know but he sure made him smile like an idiot all day long.
